Hellion360's Merlins and more: The "Keepers"

I sell a lot of markers, these are the keepers. Rarities, projects, things I have saved from extinction.

I will start with my Works Merlins and then move on to others.

    ***History****

The Works Autococker was the creation of Marty Garrison of Team Image and owner of Wildside Sports in Southlake, TX. Marty contracted with Jason Chipley of CCM, who provided the milling, and many of the parts. Marty was responsible for designing, building, tuning, sales, distribution and advertising of the guns.

The first 100 Works Autocockers (Gen 1) were milled on AKALMP Merlin blanks in 2001. The included parts varied but commonly included parts from CCM and Macdev. Bolts, valves, and hammers were mostly unique to the Works, though I have heard some included AKA valves. The Gen 1 Merlin bodies used a standard length valve spring on a long aluminum spring perch.

After the first generation the Works Autococker bodies were swapped to CCM blanks.

Works markers usually have a unique length bolt with a p-block, but a few full block were made as well. The IVG included allen holes cut into the side allowing for velocity adjustment without removing the cocking rod. The first instance of this I know of.

Excellent light weight classic milling, and very well done slide frames.

    *** End History ***

    Mini Works Gen1 Merlin
This one gets used a lot. Love the CCM frames.

    Works Gen1 Full Body Merlin

    - Works / Warped Dark Merlin Prototype - Not a lot of background info on this one, but believe it is one of kind.
Currently kitted out with a Lazarus valve.

    -A Riptide by Killshot Kustoms

Part of a very small run of bodies. I understand that there are 5 of these, but not from an official source. Merlin Spec, but interestingly they take J4 Torque detents. Features a frame modified by KK that is truly excellent. The body is inspired by the JJ Swirl Mill Featherlight Vikings and has a nice hourglass shape. Very trim.

This one was originally owned by Ryan Jamieson who traded one of his milled Merlins for it. It was built by another builder and I didn't care for the parts used. It has been filled with AKA internals since I acquired it.

    - RKJ Mini Merlin - Banzai Splash

Again reminiscent of the AKA round body milling, but with pills. A lot of small customization of parts by Ryan Jamieson.
Featuring the excellent Belsales Evo Pneumatics in gleaming chrome.

-A very early green body kit VLM Merlin. This is pre-threaded feedneck and has factory 3-pill milling. Should be about the year 2000 but I am unsure as the serial numbers on these are all over the place.

This one was totally fucked with red loctite. I had to use a breaker bar on the banjo after soaking it in the oven to get the front block off. The body and front block were successfully salvaged.
    Featuring SMC and PPS pneumatics
Also featuring a very hard to find 14" Javelin barrel, bored for inserts.

I like playing with this one a lot.

    Pumps go here.

    VKC DUCK #54
A real tack driver. Featuring an Earon Carter Woosh made special for the VKC series.

    An Early Earon Carter Comp.
A press fit unibody refreshed by me. Barrel replaced with a PPS nickeled brass in 680 with light wedgits.
Features a mix of ICD and Carter internals.

This marker has shot some famous faces like Painthappy and MAr I don't take this one out as much as I should really. My Phantom gets more SC action, but this is a neat piece. It was originally a darker green which you can see when the grips are removed. but it has faded to a really sweet metallic light green, almost Olive.

This one is newly acquired but of the recent FF releases I think I like this one as much as my Boxxer. Thanks ChuckLove for the trade.

This one has seen a lot of action. One of my favorites for more competitive play.

      Series 5 Prototype body
Customized and p-blocked to save a damaged body. This one is flash as hell, and a MOTM winner.

Thanks, I like that one a lot too. The frame was a lucky find. It doesn't quite match but is quite close.

I have one of the riptides. I know of 4. Mine (raw), Ryans (now yours), Daniel Vezzani (Killshot Kustoms, i forget what color his is) and Shane burns (Purple fade).

Mine is waiting on a someone to finish a frame for it. I also have one of Ryan's Extended reach merlin tribute's (Gloss black) and a raw another round body i need to build too. Hoping i can snag a kraken at somepoint too.

I know ryan traded Dan one of his milled bodies for the riptide, but i forget which one it was. That is a cool build.

That blue prototype S5 is so sweet. I have come to really like slab bodies over recent years and that one looks excellent. Probably my favorite one in the thread.

I don't care for olive or green, but that early Carter looks pretty sharp.

Thanks! It was fun doing some bodies in Electric Skies finish and I always felt like the S5 was a great vehicle for a crazy ano job.

Yes, you can still use the sights. It is about even with the top of the marker, then the ramp of the sight comes up above that.
