    Chops's history of gats

I forget exactly when, but I think I started playing around 2006 or so when I was 11. I think this is a mostly chronological list of what I had from 2006 to 2011:
    98 custom
    ion
    phantom vsc
    spyder pilot
    1998 Autococker
    lightning sniper
    invert mini
    sft shocker
    pmr
    oukast pump
    09 ul slg
    Mid-blocked, MQ2, Yak'd E-cocker
    another phantom
    Aci hornet
    ATS AT85
    PMI LB
    tippmann pro-lite
    Nelspot 007

As you can see, I was more into vintage towards the end of this era. I spent a good amount of time here on MCB so not too surprising. I sadly don't have photos of most of these but here were a few I scraped from an old laptop:

    ATS AT85
I don't think I even got to play with this one. Seeing that now unobtainable CCM grip makes me sad.

Really wish I could have that L-stock back.

Then during freshman year of high school, I decided I was done with paintball. Sold all the gear I had left and almost certainly used the funds for something stupid. 12 years went by with no paintball whatsoever. Highschool, college, multiple jobs, got engaged. During my bachelor party, we hit a local paintball field and everything came flooding back.

Totally remembered how much I love playing and tinkering with different guns. So now I'm back and have been having a ton of fun in my second go around.

    Alright, now on to 2023!

    CCI Phantom (no longer own)
Shortly after that bachelor party, I picked up this Phantom, mostly as a memento to keep around. The phantom was my favorite gun when I was younger so it was super nostalgic to get another one. Of course, I then had to finish it up with an ICD lever changer, PBDNA tube feed, and an ASP mod.

    Etha 3M (no longer own)
This was my first modern setup that I picked up when I decided I was actually going to go out and play more. The gamma core really blew my mind. Wish we had these around when I was younger.

    Empire Sniper (still have)
Shocktech valve, inception hammer, inception pump kit. All around solid shooter that's been a workhorse. I hate whoever's idea it was to laser the product warning onto the frame.

    AGD Emag (still have)
Always wanted a mag but never had one. I had the frame color matched by Arc and dropped in a SciFi board. The battery situation and shorting potential was definitely a learning experience for me. Will eventually finish this guy up with an X-valve.

Red/Black Acid wash Phantom (no longer own)
This one was a cool older one with a tiger-like acid wash. I regret selling this

      Empire Resurrection (no longer own)

Sweet gun, especially when had for the lower prices you can find them at. Once again, I hate whoever's idea it was to laser the warning onto the grip frame.

      Automag Classic (no longer own)
Went through a few iterations. I definitely regret selling this one. This mag came with that sweet olive OG flex which is my main mask nowadays.

      Freeflow Rhythm autococker (still have)
Dye/Freeflow parts. I love the frame on this one.

Picked this one up on the low and had it for maybe 2 weeks. The way the board sits horizontally with everything integrated on it is genius.

        DSR+ (no longer own)
Sorta unimpressed with DSR+. The shot is nice but the build quality and design just doesn't seem that polished compared to what I saw with PE. The mech frame's middle finger placement on that weird ridge really annoyed me. I also feel like the mech valve is super over complicated compared to PE's FL-3way. This seems like it maybe has a higher ceiling but way more points of failure. Mine had weird short stroke issues when it didn't have the exact amount of grease it wanted in the mech valve. I ended up selling this since I ultimately want dead reliability out of my space mech.

          2k5 Superstock pump (still have)
Ebay find that I spruced up. Rebuilt the reg, swapped the mainspring, and threw in a spare freeflow bolt I had. Shooting pretty nice now. I see why people like these Groovy frames.
