Bushmaster SI Restore

Hello! I was directed here to get expert eyes on this Bushmaster SI to gather more information and see where I can start restoring it. Curious about the worth, age, and any other guidance. Thank you!

That crosman stock can easily be replaced to deal with the chips.

Looks like youve got a missing pump handle...baccipaintball might have replacement handle and thumbscrews.

I like to dab 3 dots of nail polish in the breech to prevent rollouts. Just do it where the ball normally sits after being chambered.

I checked where the ball sits and you're absolutely correct. My girlfriend was so confused.

You've come to the right place.

Line SI's original Bushmaster SI was an upgrade kit for the Nelspot 007, which is what you have. You'd swap the Bushmaster body onto your old Nelson frame. It's a "unibody," so the barrel doesn't come off, it's one piece. Factory colors over than the purplish-black anodizing that was SI's standard are rare. I'm not sure if this was a special piece or if somebody re-anodized it.

Like all Nelson-inspired paint guns they are stupid-simple to work on. There are like two o-rings and a cup seal and that's all that can leak, although that doesn't include the lever changer.

To put it back together, you need:
A pump (try posting a want-to-buy ad)
Pump screws (these are close to the original look but basic hardware store replacements will work, too)
A body/frame screw
And I would put all that together, give it a basic cleaning, and see if it holds air

-You called? Those bolts are basically dimensionally identical to the original SI Bushmaster bolts. I know because that's what I copied them from.

The lever changer is highly desirable. They used to go for $60 when you could find them. The seals for that thing are tricky. At least they were for me. Darn thing didn't want to stay put. Indian Creek Designs is the successor to Line SI and they made a batch of new changers a few years ago with a much better captured seal. If you can find one of those it might be worth it

I have its brother without the stock.
they get lots of roollout with modern paint, adding detents to them will fix that.

I'm not sure that body is line SI... I don't see any logo-ing even their early ones had an SI by the breach.

What hammer is in this? Stock, there is an adjustable hammer and a non-adjustable hammer. I've only working on one of these, and had to go to pretty extreme measures to get it shooting how I liked on HPA, but expect to use a very heavy main spring even with CO2 to get it to Chrono well.

I think Gang Green out of Massachusetts would attach the Crosman stock onto the Nelson frame. I have a similar early Bushmaster that came with another later Gang Green engraved Bushmaster.
