    Original Matrix.

I have one of what I think is the very first pewter panel gun 12 matrixes. Bought new. I’m hoping like hell you can help! I’ve taken the trigger frame off and have found what I believe to be its order of manufacture. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

is there a slide switch on-off on the back of the frame?
and is there a serial number on the back/below the backplate?

Slide switch. Not LED or LCD. No serial anywhere other than under the trigger frame which be partially seen by removing one grip panel. THANK YOU for replying πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

Might be worth noting that I got this gun from Diablo direct and had mine well before it was seen at any NPPL event.

do you have the original barrel? (should be a 14" CP with "matrix" engraved on it)
and do you have the original plug from before you added the LPR?

      also whats the serial?

(some people really like things to be 100% stock)

thats definitely the lowest serial ive ever seen!

does it have an SMC solenoid? (some of the earliest ones didn't) the SMC was rated for a higher pressure and became standard.

How would I differentiate? And could you put a ball park value on it? Thank you so much for all of your help!

i have no idea on value, because thats a space that sits between actual value and collector value, the reality is, its an old blind electro with very outdated parts that is out-performed by the same version of itself that came out a few years later, BUT a collector might also pay a little extra for an old one. the grips do tend to fetch a premium though

I can check with a friend who knew the guys building those originally.
Airtech shop was not far from where I live.

Matrix usually go around $150 to $200 when working and in good condition.
The Pewter bring the price slightly over. But would be better to split the grip.

Will ask my friend if those grips came at the beginning of the production or later.

What color is the bolt and internals (Picture without the back cap would help)?

Any serial number at the rear of the body?

Here is my Airtech gun 20 matrix
I changed the frame for a single finger trigger, but still have the original frame and also the screw cap for the original no lpr look.
I think the earlier version came with the OTP barrel with the Matrix logo and the later Gen E came with the CP barrel with the Matrix jewel.

From a few different sources I have what we believe is the #16 Matrix ever built.

other way around, only about the first 300 had the CP barrels, after that it was a J&J, and then OTP before dye bought then and started using milling down unsold xcel barrel blanks

i was the original owner of Matrix 275, it came with a CP, pewter grips, no LPR, a beehive reg, and brown o-rings, also I helped write the matrix article, the stock matrix that is pictured in said article is mine.

Mine still has the brown o rings and factory grease. I practiced with it twice and played one open class 3 man. Cleaned her all the way up and have had it stored since.

I'm curious what is the bolt color on this Matrix? Silver?

This is what came with mine. I do not remember it having anything other than the CP stamp however.
