I will add to this as I dig into my collection of parts, I just wanted to get a thread started. From left to right, Baltimore Trauma matrix with a slam bolt and tadao 5.0 software. NYX matrix with an evolve gold bolt kit and red leertech lethal v2 mod, tadao nyx chip. Los Angeles ironman matrix with a blue freeflow Venturi bolt/black internals, a red leertech lethal v2 mod and an orchid 4.0 board. I've been using the NYX since 05-06.

Edit: hopefully this works. Here's some quick shots of some of the parts, bolts and bolt kits, I'll try to get to taking out the boards I have too and hopefully get the guns pulled apart to show those bolt kits

Figured I'd throw my mags on here too. Top one I've had since 2000, bottom I probably built up 5 years ago with my OG ule body/x valve.

Is the slam bolt all it used to be hyped up to be? I have never shot one that I am aware of and don't have much experience with Dye markers, but I really wanted to try one for about a decade or so.

I mean it's definitely cool and has a very unique sound signature. But I think any of your top bolt engines are gonna be good. The leertech mod makes a fun bloop noise. I like to use slick honey because of this bolt since it requires almost zero psi for breakaway

It seems a lot of other bolt systems has figured out the "air off" part that was pretty unique to the Slam at the time so maybe performance isn't as big of a thing but the sound signature is a fun quirk.

In blind matrices I believe the slam is superior because it's more gentle on paint but I could be misremembering that.
