Given the hypothetical nature I’m going to pretend to be in Ontario for this one. I’d use my current Dragon cocker build with the ID hinge frame, 50cu tank (I have short arms), DW barrel .

Backup gun with be my ID’d Empire Ressi. My only other mechs are Tippmanns.

So what started as a hypothetical, has turned into some real interest for a few of you guys, myself included! I think if we keep the expectations realistic, that we probably ain't gonna win a tourney like this, and it's just for the fun / experience, I bet it would be a great time!

Anyhow, let's revisit this idea in the Spring, and maybe do some Carter's Commandos team building!

On my side I would be covered with my Aim prototype midblock if I put a slider on it or my first pick would be my Jordan's creation single finger mech ion (had planned to have it at Wasaga but forgot it in the basement while packing)

My collection is relatively even between mag and cocker but my cocker are usually more sniper (only 3 out of 9 are autococker...) and I keep my mags for semi play (I dont like the feel of a pump mag)

I would bring my "2001 Dream Gun" fleet. Vertical feed, classic valve automag, with Shocktech back for good looks, RT on/off, and Doc's barrel adapter. Now has a spiffy chrome Dye single trigger frame.

And as a backup/relief, my fugly faded bodied 2k-something RF cocker with ANS reg, Palmer Rock (a must on all of my builds), roller sear, Shocktech Phat hammer, and RAT valve. Timed with precision.

Both of which will be fed by my ever-reliable 12v Revy with XBoard.

I mean, what else do you need? These are professional tools.

Yes it did, didn't let me down at all, it's freakishly fast for a non RT mech semi and my little pico loader kept it well fed

I'll add in to this hypothetical game. I'd definitely be the back player...though there'd probably more than myself wanting that spot. I start with my classic mag that I just picked up a nice NOS .685 CP barrel. My backup will hopefully be up and ready by then. Pre2K RF slab sided cocker. I've picked up a Benchmark slider, PPS stab and Rock...should have the rest of the parts in hand before spring.

Omi is ripping us a new one up here too. I'm currently sitting out my 10 day quarantine. A Merry COVID Christmas this year.

We'll do a role call in the Spring, as there was some real interest in the hypothetical idea when it was first brought up ! We'll see then if it has waned or not.

The consensus though, is this inexperienced group might have some tough sledding But even if it is an a$$ whoopin' , it should be fun as hell, doing a classic mech tourney has been on my bucket list for a while!

Yes, this field Adrenaline Paintball, is just outside of London Ontario ... I think they run their Ontario Classic just on their Mounds field, and Hyperball field. I don't think they do a Woods field for this tourney. I mean, that could change for 2022, who knows? Staging , air fills, customer service at this field pretty decent in my experience there.

This field is also one of the more affordable in Ontario , in terms of paint prices on a regular day. I'm not sure if there are more discounts for tourney days?

This sounds like a blast. Can't help but find all the focus on speed a bit ironic since it was the quest for BPS that gave us electros and ramping and everything that so many rejected about the tourney scene and found distasteful about the game in general. That said my Blazer can still rip.

Speed in mech tourneys, yeah, its definitely a hot topic again. My focus in the hypothetical first post on asking which of your fastest mech guns would you bring to a tournament, was considering the real contenders at a mech tourney won't be running mags and cockers. Those teams will all have emeks with hAir valves, shocker CVO's and mech Amps, etc, etc. If our MCB mech dream team are going, we'd need to have our fastest stuff out there!
