Sadly back to not going. Went to appointment today for a second look at my ankle. News was not good and I’m told I am not to be walking at all. Turns out the ligaments torn badly and I may need surgery especially if I keep walking.

I was about to start packing the car but with the continuous rain forecast for the entire weekend and most of the group not going (sorry anson I know you will be there playing sunday rain or not). I have decided I wont make the trip to PRZ for this one.
Looking foward to 2024 for a pump game with all of you. If Ratzo schedule another pump day at DMZ or any other pump day will try to make the trip.💀Team Ragnastock💀

Went with two friends yesterday - we only played on Saturday. I attended 2-3 games in the past in the pre-covid days (actually I think my avatar picture was taken there) but it was the first time (and sadly the last time by the same token) that my friends visited the field. We had a great time.
There were less than 150 preregs but more than 600 players showed up. The owners did not expect that (they can't be blamed) so they ran out of paint early. Fortunately, other fields in the area helped them out, including I believe Commando PB. My friends and I had pre-bought Valken Grafiti (and thus paid a little extra not to get the basic GI 2 Star paint) because in the past it always shot really well. Yet that batch was horrible and the GI 2 Star was actually much better (but still not that great...). Still, the organizers worked really hard and overcame many challenges. I had a good conversation with a lady at the counter and she kindly offered me a bottle of Gatorade. Very nice people!
Something odd I noticed at every post-Covid large game I've attended in Ontario: there's a noticeably sharp increase in overall douchy behaviour, namely cheating and throwing tantrums. While this is always been the case here (Quebec), I've attended scores of large games all over Ontario in the pre-Covid days and everyone was an upright player and a good sport. Go figure.Playing the game since 1990

At least in a big game you can just play somewhere else next.
