    ....accused me in no less words of being a Liar !

    I tried to buy the Sniper 3 , and get it shipped, but he wants eTransfer, not paypal. He says a paypal buyer ripped him off in the past , got the shipment but then immediately made a claim to paypal.

    Fair enough, but I told him that I similarly was ripped by eTransfer a few years ago, I transferred the funds, the guys gmail then disappeared, and they did not ship !

    So this prick then goes on to explain that what i say happened is impossible , the bank would never have let that happen and my story is full of shit, effectively calling me a liar.

    Anyhow , the Sniper 3 is tempting, but be warned , the guy is a little prick !

    Ah, aren’t people fun? I’ve have the odd person say they got ripped off using PayPal, but then offer to pay half in advance and half on arrival. Make them put their money where their mouth is. Guy does have good feedback though, so likely work the risk but doesn’t excuse him from being an ass.

      I always think that Ottawa is close to Montreal... 4 hours round trip, I wont be able to help on this one...

      can someone ask what the SN is? Those were on a different SN count. not a lot of sniper 3 tied to a purchase date.

        I like that strategy.

        Another eTransfer strategy is:

        - Setup eTransfer payment , but with a password
        - Tell him to provide the Tracking # , and you'll provide the password.
        - Once you have the tracking, tell the guy you're going to wait until the package arrives, then you'll check the contents, and if all good , provide the password.
        - The guy might be pissed, but just assure then that you're not going to ghost them, your email address will not disappear, and you'll answer any questions promptly. Remind them you did give them your home address for shipping, so you're clearly not going anywhere.

        Although, I am not sure if they seller has Direct Deposit setup , then the eTransfer funds might go straight into their account. If that happens, then you are back to being at the mercy and hopefully goodwill of the Seller to complete the deal !!

          Yes, human beings are quite the animal !

          In the advent of electronic transfers of money for goods, bad actor sellers figured out quickly that they could accept payment , and then either not ship , or send a package of old worthless books!

          So companies like Paypal put policies into place to try to protect the Buyers, who can now make claims against bad sellers.

          The bad actor sellers then immediately sidestep this, and become Bad Actor Buyers instead, and receive shipments only to make fake claims to paypal , to get their money back and keep the goods!

          ahhh......People !!!!!

          These situations are what makes MCB feedback system, and its atmosphere of integrity so great ! A bad reputation spreads quickly on here, and it is like kryptonite to bad sellers !

            It's not just electronic payments. People were dirtbags before that.

            In 2004 a woman wanted to return a glass bottle of Ocean Spray Cranberry juice to the place I worked. She " bought it here last week". Customer had no receipt.

            Ocean spray stopped packing in glass in 1995.

            I used to be like this until I read some of the negative feedback some sellers have on eBay. I’ll buy from sellers who are less than 100% if the negative feedback is dumb.
