Typically no one cares about Revys. Interesting that someone had a problem with pump + force feed hopper. Meh, don't worry to much about it, you must have been doing just to well that dayVelcor will save us...

I had already switched to a stick feed out of spite.

The hopper rule is just an attempt at enforcing "don't be a dick". There is one field in the caves that is permanently reserved for mechanical guns and mechanical hoppers only. On all outdoor fields (which I strongly prefer) there are no hopper or gun restrictions. All other indoor fields there are no hopper or gun restrictions. It's literally just the one field, and even then enforcement is sketchy at best. I have never once been asked to remove my ricochet. I have been asked to remove both my halo and my rotor though. Last time I played I wore jeans and a hoodie to go for a more "sleeper" approach, and I used my rotor (on both my mag and my spyder) on the mech only field all day and didn't have a single complaint. When my buddy (new player, doesn't own any gear) borrowed my Pile of Poo Tippmann they were fine with him running that on the mech only field, complete with super R/T and a rotor as well.
Just keep it under 300 FPS (I know the signs say 275, but that is a lie, several of the refs have flat out told me if its below 300 they don't care) under 10.5 BPS (they have no way to measure this FYI) and don't be a dick and you'll be fine.
Other Jaegers notes:
The Defy behind the counter in the proshop is absolutely worth the extra cost. It shoots sooooo much better then the rec grade GI paint.
A lot of the refs don't know how to fill Co2, and they won't fill any tank over 5 years even if it is under the DOT 2". If you run a lot of Co2 you have to get lucky and hope the one or two employees who actually knows how to fill it is there, and you have to hope the owner isn't in earshot when you ask if you have a 9oz from 2015. (The blatant disregard for the DOT 2" rule unfortunately comes from the owner, in the several years I have played there I have never once had a positive interaction with him, luckily he stays out of the way most of the time.)

So they don't throw the renters to the wolves at the end of the day anymore? That's a start. I'd be playing with the reccers all day with my mech Mag, Revvy, and no problems, and for the last two games or whatever, they'd throw the one-color-wonders against all of us. Naturally, the reccers would get slaughtered for lack of experience, and I'd get tagged because I was the only one that actually moved to within range.
Myrkul, things really have changed a bit if they're using more than one indoor field now, lol. I do like the place, though.

It’s been an adjustment. In 30 years of playing paintball I have never been accused of shooting hot and the first thing I do is chrono before I step foot on the field. I’ve been playing with the noobs, must be the one field where they halfway enforce the rules for no batteries because I’ve brought my 10 year old cousin who has played paintball twice at jaegers when I’ve come. I’ve been shot walking the sideline five times with my gun up and barrel condom on as a dead man waking out. Not deterred but I’m looking forward to playing with some non cry baby, non noobs that know a little bit about paintball. I’m coming from a field where I know the owner and staff well and this has kind of been kind of bitter sweet, love the field, the refs are good and the games turn fast, Nathan seems pretty awesome in the pro shop and I’m loving the fresh paint they’ve had so far. It’ll be nice to get off the first field and play with some players that aren’t the wanna be speed ball crowd or obviously pretty new still. Hope to meet some of you guys soon, the cheap shots and accusations are just not what I’ve ever been used to anywhere. I’m afraid if I bring brass they’ll tell me it takes batteries and I can’t play. It’s just been a strange experience so far. I already paid for my annual pass and live 15 minutes away so I’ll make it work and after time I’m sure things will be more like what I’m used to. Thanks for the field tips for sure, looking forward to meeting some MCB peeps!

A tool box discussion broke out at the paintball game, and it made me realize how people in our circle may have multiple common interests. I have thought long and hard about rigid vs. Milwaukee vs. Dewalt vs. my horrible Stanley tool box, and I don't know anyone else who has worried about it! The conversation came up without me even mentioning it.
I like the Milwaukee and Ridgid btw.
