Questions about Jeagers and B.O.B. White caveball

I have a flight booked and I'm going this year! So excited to finally get to play in the caves. That being said I have a few questions.

    1. Since I'm flying, is there going to be enough tables and staging for everyone? I am flying so I can't bring a table to setup. I want to be able to setup somewhere and have room to stage.
    2. Security - I'm always nervous playing at new fields that stuff will walk away. Since I'm flying in I won't have a lot of extra stuff, but I need to know if I should lock stuff away. I'm bringing my PE rolling bag so there's not much of a way for me to secure stuff like I could with my rolling box.
    3. Temperature - I think the caves stay a pretty constant temperature but should I plan to be cold? I need to know how much clothes to bring.
    4. Settings - what is the field limit so I can chrono my guns before they leave the house?
    5. I'm bringing my 2 Emeks for my nephews to use and my Emf100. So we will be all mech but we will all have electric hoppers. Any issues for the event with that?
    6. I am bringing my F8 mask with clear lens. I'm assuming that's my best option since it may be dark in some areas or they do glowball?

That's it for now. I know I'm overthinking it but I like to be over prepared, plus I'm bringing my nephews who have never played and I want their first experience to go off without a hitch. I'm excited to finally get to play there and I hope to meet some of you guys.

You'll still want to chronograph your marker at the field. Paint will be different, environmental conditions and temperature will be different than when you chrono somewhere else. You will most likely be told to chronograph by the staff there before being able to enter the field, at least that's how it should be.

I would call them and ask these questions for the best answers.

I figured that, but I wanted to get them down beforehand. We shoot 285 at my field so I will get mine below 280 before I leave (if that's the field limit) and make minor adjustments at the field. With 3 setups, I want to do as much as I can ahead of time so it's just a tweak here or there to be ready to play.

Im excited to meet ya sir!

    1. There are tables, many fill up, but us MCB peeps typically lock 3 or 4 down for the group. If you aren't afraid of making friends. You will have some tavle to utilize.

    2. Always a valid concern I have been to jeagers 3 years now, and never had an issue. I am one guilty of leaving my custom markers unattended on top of my gear. I've had no issues. Again. Our group is usually large enough that someone is always at one of our tables.

    3. Its like 56 in the caves all the time. Balmy for my northern arse. You probably want a hoodie to play in. We also may play up top outside weather depending. Its been 80* at this event before.

Side note.. bring a clear lens! And no cleats in the caves. They do you no good if you dig down to the limestone base.

    4. I cant help you there. they have unique rules. One of the KC guys will handle this. But typically battery hoppers srent allowed there. Bob white is the high bps special event of the year. So your normal settings are fine. Obviously pump day Saturday is a different story.

    5. If you are planning on playing Saturday you will likely have to ditch your hoppers. But Sunday they are fair game.

    6. Glowball is on the table. Something I am happy to see cuz I've pushed for it since I first stepped into the caves. But clear lens regardless.

Also on that note. Get a yellow and or blue bandana and or hat. This will be essentially a fast turn around open play format. Teams must wear a yellow or blue head cover. The pro shop has them cheap, but if you have one just bring it.

Yes sir! I'm super pumped to meet up with you guys and play. My nephews have never played (15 and 12) and I think it will be cool. I'm the social butterfly at the field so I love meeting new people and be able to talk PB.

56 sounds amazing! I don't mind playing in the cooler weather but I wasn't sure how cold it might be in the cave. This weekend it will be 60 here so it will be a good test of equipment and clothes. It's normally 90+ here and 10000% humidity so heat doesn't bother me. Cold is another thing.

I won't play Saturday because I really can't play pump, plus I'm "technically" in town to see my family. . I tried and really wanted to play pump but magfed is as close as I get. As long as the electric hoppers are allowed for the event I'm good so the Emeks can be used. I am hoping to try glowball. I have seen the videos from there and it looks like fun. Thanks for letting me know about the yellow and blue. Since I'm primarily all black and red I will find something. Thanks for the info! Can't wait to see you all there.

For this event most of the rules are out the door. Generally the field has now settled on 8.8bps for electros, hoppers of all types are ok, 280fps at the chrono. All items subject to change :P

Overall its a great time, lots of MCB folks. Sat will have some dedicated pump play games, and I'm sure we will have some loaners around.
    Velcor will save us...

Very true. For close bolts I am very frequently running a 675

I overbore everything and run only 689 or 691 inserts. Plus, my stuff all has detents so it shouldn't be a problem. But good to know.

10 days out! I have 5 of us coming to play and my gear got shipped to KC yesterday. I hope UPS isn't too hard on it. But I did reinforce the box on all 6 sides with the hard cardboard that's like wood. I also put extra tape on all seams and corners. I can't wait to meet yall.

HK army paint in the latest batch is from 0.682-0.684, so actually larger then normal. Hope to see you all there!

Box made it to KC in one piece. Bought a phone mount for taking video and I am ready to go!

Seeing the temps are getting a little colder. The caves stay around the same temps though right? I am about to start packing PB clothes today or tomorrow. Trying to figure out how much to bring.

Yep! Caves stay the same temperature year round. I find a thin long sleeve shirt is usually perfect.

I'm almost to KC! What time do they let us in Sunday and what time do games start?

Also $69 for a case of glow paintballs? Seems steep. I wanted to play a game or two but with the EMF100 I don't need a case. Not sure it's worth it.

Can't wait to meet you guys!

I think they technically open at 10:00 both days, but we'll be getting there early to get all set up and do some light tinkering because we can't help ourselves. Not sure when games start, it varies quite a bit depending on the crowd.

I "believe" we were planning most of the glowball for tomorrow with the pump only games to help keep the cost down, but plans are very subject to changing.

I got home to Savannah yesterday. It was a blast to get to meet you guys! Next time I will have to coordinate better to be sure we're all on the same team.

My nephews had such a great time. They had never played before. The youngest one was running up front all day long. He was a natural at it. No fear and he got several people out. We were keeping count for a while there and he was keeping up. Thanks for being the community I love and let's try to do it again some time. You ever get to the Savannah or Jacksonville areas let me know.
