New field in New Hampshire

Played open rec w/ ketzer7 today up at OSG. He mentioned a new field, CS Paintball in Epsom. Grand opening is next weekend for the field.

It's pretty sparse (putting it mildly). Most of their updates about what they've been doing to rebuild the park is on their Facebook page

For transparency, I've never been to their store or know these folks personally, just been following what they've been doing. They seem really nice though.

Apparently this field is the former Merrimack Valley Paintball in Epsom, NH. From what I understand, MVP shut down, and the folks running CS Paintball bought the property, or took up the lease or whatever, and have spent the last 10 months or so completely rebuilding and refurbishing the field.

As Mike said, their grand opening is this coming weekend Sept. 4-5. I'm thinking of going on Sunday to support them and check it out. Having more fields to play at is never a bad thing - though I do worry about their long-term prospects as they are sandwiched almost exactly halfway between AG and OSG.

Would be great if some other MCB folks could make it this weekend as well.

Prices aren't bad and they allow FSR and sell FSR on site. FPO but competitive pricing.

I'd be up for checking this out for the hell of it, I have no plans this coming weekend. Hopefully no surprise rain like yesterday.

Ggggzzzzzz.... I'm not gonna disagree that we should all support any paintball here, but the FSR experience I've had with round ball commingled games is of "no thank you." I hope they do well, and as a snide side comment maybe all the mag fed players can go there.

They don't show anywhere that everyone will be mixed in, so who knows. I'd definitely check it out if no one was flinging FSR at me.

They do offer private games, min 10 players. 65 a case for upped grade roundball, looks like valken, ain't bad.

I don’t mind getting shot with them. I don’t care what others shoot you do you. However there is a small minority that like to be shot with the things and a rental is never one of those. I hope they have more sense then that it could truly ruin someone’s first experience. Especially with the attitude that comes with the Magfed crowd. I can see Clowns clubbing seals just to make TickTok videos.

Same here, I'm a big boy and can take my lumps. ketzer plugged me in the back of the head yesterday with a few shots on the break. Hell i thought it was funny. Rentals were genuinely concerned about me, LOL.

I already saw a bad rental experience this year, poor rental got LACED by a ramping agro-clown rate had to be 10+. Dude lifted his shirt and it had to be at least 12 hits. Field just wasn't keeping things under control. He will never go back which is a shame because his girlfriend was having a blast and you could tell she wanted to go back sometime. I'd only play that field again if it was a private game.

I'll be making my way up there at some point, maybe not opening days. I've bought some equipment from their shop in the past and they seemed like pretty solid paintball loving folks. I'll be really interested to see if they have any pump only (or even less likely stock-class) games on the event schedule. Didn't seem like their wheelhouse at all and couldn't sell'm the stoke I saw bubbling up yr or two back.

Also... one of their crew passed away, wanted to be buried in a paintball field and is now resting under a tank bunker in one of their fields? If true, is that a first?

I semi-jokingly told my kids when I die I want my ashes spread at the deadbox of the speedball field. I just think it would be fitting to be placed at the deadbox.

Looks like just regular FS paintballs, not the FSR ones? I'm not really sure because I'm still kinda new getting back into all of this, but that's what I gleaned from looking at FS's webpage.

Interesting. Azodin Kaos would not be my first choice if buying rental markers for a field. But I guess they are limited to whatever wholesale options are available right now, which probably isn't much due to supply.

They do list first strike FSR 150 count rounds for $60 under their pricing on the field's website. Those would be the not-so-fun-for-rentals rounds with polystyrene fins.

So for roundball two different grade choices from two different brands. I'd probably shoot the warhawk. And another option listed for FSR rounds that may or may not be available at the field right now.

So cowboy (of Cowboy and Sparrow paintball) has worked closely with azodin since before they released their first gun, so he has a lot of experience on those things, so I am sure that has something to do with their decision.

I watched it. Seems this thread may have spawned the video's creation. He made a comment that sounded vaguely like referencing some of the things people said in here.

In any case, here's the basic synopsis:

- Rental players and self-equipped players will be segregated at the field.

- FSR will be allowed co-mingled in the self-equipped group. Rentals can choose to join the self-equipped/co-mingled group with the understanding that FSR will be allowed and may be used.

- Electro firing rate at the field will be capped at 10.2. Essentially NXL ramping mode is it what it sounded like? He stated that if anyone is caught shooting faster than this and/or "mag dumping" with intent to injure, the Epsom police would be called.

- No alcohol permitted on site, period.

- No smoking in the staging areas - only in designated areas away from everyone else

- He stated in the video he is intentionally trying to be different from AG and OSG so that there is variety of where to play, and wants people's feedback/suggestions for what they want to see built there for fields.

I'd love to, but I got some choring I need to get to while the sun is out. When I looked at the weather (last week admittedly) all weekend looked nice. Stupid New England being a fickle pickle.
