Capital Punishment (Rhode Island outlaw) thread

Hi folks,

Been meaning to put this up as a way of staying in touch about the weekly games happening down in Rhode Island.

For those of you who are not aware, capitalpaintball runs an outlaw group that meets on Sundays on the West Greenwich/Coventry line in Rhode Island. We meet at 10am and play until we're all ready for food and beer. We have a small junkyard speedball field, and acres upon acres of natural woods to play in. The terrain is rough and hilly, with lots of large rocks and trees, very OG woodsball. Most people shoot pump & limited paint, but all types are welcome as long as you're not a dick. BYOP, but GI 2-star is available for purchase, as well as CO2.

Weather looks nice as hell and as it stands we have 5 committed players already. There's a chance of a wild Shaftski coming down to play too. Any other Southeastern New Englanders looking to get their woodsball on?

For anyone who hasn’t been, these fields are a blast, and the terrain is awesome to play on….I might have a “survival whistle” my wife makes me bring when I play outlaw ball now because I got a little…misplaced in the boulder field. (100% worth it!)…maybe we’ll rock the “Body System”



Johnny. I can’t join you this weekend, but I plan to head out at least a couple times this summer/fall.

and you're right, the field is massive and it is definitely possible to wander off course. It's worth noting we have not lost anybody (permanently)!

Oh, and it was completely my own fault. I decided to swing extra wide, out of site, alone, and on a field I never played to get behind the other team. (I didn’t get overly misplaced, but my wife overall reacted a bit when I shared the story)

I have surprisingly good judgment, the problem is I rarely listen to it 🤣

getting lost is part of the initiation ritual down there. got good and lost on the boulders too. i'm bringing GPS.

Good day yesterday! Had 7 show up to play, and we had some absolutely gorgeous weather. The leaves have come in so the field is terrifying, not a long ball game right now.

sneaky ninja deer hunting out there the woods are so thick. sit still and look for any unnatural shapes and hope someone doesn't have you sighted in. real old school woodsball right now.

had way too much fun my legs are hating me right now though. sooooooo much walking/stalking.

gotta get more of the central/eastern mass folks down there.

Shaftski I'm just joking. I've got a buddy interested in coming out for some outlaw too. I think it has been closed to 20 years since I've played it myself. I'd really like to get back to my roots.

True woodsball is a whole different animal. I love all formats of the game, but nothing screams 1998 to me like traipsing around the woods ready to shit my pants.

These woods are really fun and always a blast to actually wear Camo for a purpose.
