Unless something has changed over this year, I just don't like how old and run down the place is. They didn't seem to do any upkeep, and the structures are all in some state of disrepair. The net around the field is often down or torn. They leave random string lines from previous scenarios all over the field and its a major tripping hazard, my girlfriend tore her meniscus tripping over one that wrapped around her foot. The air system is dirty and outdated, and rarely nets you a full 3k. Also others from Ragnastock will likely chime in with their opinion and experiences as well.
And I also want to try Hornets nest, never been there. -
APE has gone way downhill. Most of the refs aren't old enough to drive and spend more time on their phone than paying attention to the game. Air system was super janky, safety was pretty careless at best. A few of us had a very shitty experience at a scenario game with less-than-lethal rounds being smuggled in and shot at people in game. I used to like APE, but the last two 6+ hour round trip drives out there haven't led to very fun paintball so I'm not interested in going back there. -
They did get new management who is a professional ref this year. Seems like he cares what is going on. We'll see how the maintenance/repairs shake out. I am leaning towards Hornet's Nest as an experiment but we will see how accommodating they are.

I can hear the sound of Spyders clunking away already. Makes me want to get a 20oz of CO2 for this event, to add to the nostalgia. If this ends up being an annual event, that would be awesome. Also this will be a great day to bring some new ballers out. Depending on when this happens, I might be able to bring some people.Comment

Im in, just restored a spyder this year that was given to me. Has a electronic frame but im pretty sure i have a mechanical i can throw on it. Take a trip down memory lane to the days of blow back madness,lol.Comment

If it’s a Spyder, send it. If you guys are going to start nitpicking electronic vs mech on a Spyder Only day, maybe a Spyder Only day isn’t for you. ;p
