STBB / Spyder Owners Day game interest feeler

With the various pump and mech days I have gone to this year I have been thinking that it would be fun to have a Spyder and Stacked Tube Blowback day as an event.

It is cheap and easy to lend and acquire them, and has a casual fun old-school mech day type feel. The first marker I owned was a Spyder and I still keep a few STBB around as easy to use loaners.

Would you be interested in an STBB meetup day?
I am in upstate NY so it would be somewhere around there like: Albany Paintball, Capital Combat Zone, or Hornet's Nest.

This would be scheduled in the Spring or Summer of 2024.


Looks like we might allow cool inline blowbacks.

Cool guns you could shoot:
Spyders: Like 500 models
ICD: Thundercats, Alleycats, or whatever big cats I don't remember
VM-68: For showing off those thick muscles
ACI / Fastech Illustrators: F1-F4?

I'm in the same boat as chuckles, I would love to play, but I have no STBBs. I do have an inline blowback, but if we're specifically doing STBBs I could certainly source/build one for the game.

Dont you still have a Cat? I know its not really fair to use it against Spyders, I mean its really not fair to shoot it against any blowback, they are by far the best guns in the world.

Or free if you are a scrounger. Shoot I gave away two large flat rates of dirty ass Spyders and parts this year. I just didn't want to clean them. They were dirty as hell though.

It's a great idea and I suggest leaving it for STBB's. I voted in favor of it however I won't be able to make a trip out there to play.

If you can increase the volume it helps. capitalpaintball has had success with his ICD blowbacks by putting plugged expansion chambers into the VA to increase the volume.

My 3 vms all cycle fine with hpa(aka compressed garbage) 1 usually use dual syphon, it cycles but velocity is low. 1 used dual non syhpon, it cycles and chrony's around 280. the 3rd used 20z bottom line co2 and an expansion chamber. it chrono'ed over 300 and i had to adjust it down
