It's possible partial rollouts are to blame. The factory detent looks in pretty good shape but I never checked it against modern paints. I have some fancy magnetic ones for my ule mag I could swap in to check.
I'm bringing it to the blowback throwback Sunday so I will try to mess around with it there.

The detent on sniper style markers will only stop double-feeds, not rollouts. So even if your detent is in tip-top shape you can still have rollouts if your barrel bore is too large and you don't have finger detents (which sandwich between the receiver and barrel and stop rollouts), wedgits (small detents in the beginning of the barrel that hold paint in place) or a tighter barrel bore.

Does Hogans fill co2 at the new location?

I assume No at the field but I believe they do at their store in Meriden. I would give them a call

I asked them a couple weeks ago, they fill CO2 at their store in Meriden for $10 per bottle if I remember correctly
