Don't know if you've been to the new location behind the Target yet, but it's a mixed bag. Their new cars field isn't even a shadow of the old one, and is much too narrow. The concrete field is surprisingly good, though, and is really well balanced to promote movement. They just opened up a new wooded field 2 weeks ago and I've barely gotten a chance to play it but it's much wider and longer than anything else they've got. There's lots of trees, but they're skinny, and there's quite a bit of plastic tubing bunkers sprinkled throughout. Also, normal weekend crowds remain strong, so if I were able to play regularly (and with a 3-year-old, I'm not) NPI would still be my pick.Comment

I've been to the new location a couple times. But after playing at Xtreme in Millstadt for one of the meetups (2023?), it was hard going back to NPI. So few fields. I miss the old hyperball & tower fields. It's good to hear the crowds are still there, though; gives them a reason to keep investing in the place.

Thanks! It makes me so happy to know that someone actually got some of the jokes!
Yeah, the new location is an overall downgrade, but it's still a dependable location for local pickup ball.

It's a real bummer that Nashville doesn't have a big scenario-ready field.
Speaking of Xtreme, are you going to make Spring Pump Event weekend after next?
Oh, and if not, Insane near Chattanooga is having an old school mech meetup day on the 27th. I'll be in Florida but otherwise I'd totally be there.Comment

Haven't been keeping up with meetups & events, tbh. I have nerdier plans both of those weekends (D&D).
Right now the plan is just showing up for recball @ NPI the next time my knees don't hurt & it's less than 80°, which is a lot to ask, lol.
