Are these open bolt or closed bolt? Love this review, it got me pricing one and I see there are barrel inserts, was curious if this is just for those of us who have trouble breaking the paint matching habit ir if they are necessary to prevent rollouts?

The N-1s are priced quite cheap for what they are, although the need to purchase a barrel insert kit (inserts are necessary with this marker), case (inserts are fragile, get the case) and shipping will raise the price. That said though, purchasing one of these all-in is about on par with a PE Etha 3M, but they are (IMO) way sexier as far as how many heads it'll turn when you pull it out of your gear bag and damn, they are way more fun to shoot.

Just finished playing a day with my N1 and it was great. Thought I would miss the front grip, but didn’t notice it. Easy and comfortable to hold the front of the marker. I had loctited the feedneck in place, as last time I used it it came loose my hopper would spin. Looks like I may have had a ball break further down the barrel, but honestly didn’t notice until I was cleaning the marker at home.

I did have in complaint, albeit a minor one. The edge of the trigger guard is a bit rough, so middle finger ended up getting rubbed uncomfortably by the trigger guard. I was wearing gloves even. Maybe a little tape will solve the issue.

Man, this review makes me regret getting an N3. Bought it in late 2022 (still hasn't seen the field, but has worked fine in the backyard) and it is NOT quiet. It's the loudest marker I own. Should've saved some cash by getting an N1 instead.

Funny that the emek is compared to a toyota corolla. That was my first car and i still miss it! And i also really like the emek. Something about its unassuming nature makes it great for walk-ons - provides me just enough anonymity to reduce expectations.

The N1 is pretty quiet, but it's heavy as hell. Wicked fun to shoot though, one of the only markers I'm willing to use with a hopper.

My N1 is so much fun. I have an N1, N2(v1), and N3. I have never been able to get my N3 running properly, from blowback, to blending paint, to leaking asa. Sending it back soon for TJ to take a look at and hopefully I'll get to use it.
