Hello, just wanted to make a post. I started playing paintball back in 2007ish, played until about 2014 and stopped. I was a paid member on here for years under a different account. I went back to my local filed and everything was way different, more mech guns and improved woodsball fields. It got me excited and im wanting to get back into the game!

You know I went to a field about 4 years ago just to see if I got the vibes to get back into it, I didn't. The attitudes were bad, "cool" speedball kids all over. It was complete opposite when I went a few days ago. I hope I get into it again and it stays that way. -
As I have had the pleasure of saying many times over the past couple of years: Paintball has been calling her lost children back home.

Welcome back. I certainly feel like the number of hothead speedballers has dropped, and the mech craze has brought along a better community.

I felt like my local fields was all speedball guys, some cool some not. The older i get the more i see them as not cool lol. I liked that game play sometimes but I loved woodsball, we had an outlaw group for years and when it faded away I felt like that was it. I'm glad it seems to be coming back more at official fields.

Honestly they're just solid machines. Keep it serviced and it'll serve you well. From a playing perspective, they're tall as fuck, but it does keep hopper out of your vision.Originally posted by lhamilton1807 View PostComment

Welcome back! I’m just getting back into paintball myself after a 5 year break. The fields were even busier than I remember, but I only saw a few regulars and it’s mostly rentals now. I like my field too much to not play there, so I’m thinking of picking up a pump for recball and looking for a field to play speedball and maybe get into some local tournaments. Really glad to see others getting back into it!Comment

My experience was similar. After most of the regulars left me and another guy had to grab rental guns( no charge) in order to mix in with the adult renters. Next time I’ll bring my tippman and hopefully they will let me use that. -
I really like the emeks my field has, they go a long way to leveling the playing field.

I think I must have everyone beat - I left the game entirely in 2002 and only got back into it last year. It was quite a shock to say the least.
