    Old guy, new attitude

    Just getting back into this amazing, crazy sport after a 12 year hiatus.
    This is a new profile as my old profile seems lost. Or maybe I am, but , anywho...
    I made a deal with a seller on this site that has stopped communicating and will not complete transaction.
    Is this the new Norm on M. Carter Brown?

      Welcome back. I would say this is not the norm. Still the same old grumpy guys as it always was.

          Was it a New member? Green are payed members often a much safer bet. Lately there has been an influx of spam accounts as well. Also keep in mind this isn’t book face most people don’t check in every time they pick up there phone. So the process is going to be slower. You can tell if the message has been read and also see the last time they were on. However that is definitely not the norm when it comes to deals on MCB.

          But welcome back to the sport.

          Dangerous questions but, What exactly you looking for?

              Well you can get an LTR Rotor for like $100 new now $15 for the exalt speed feed worst case. LTR is the same thing as what you are looking at without the windows that can break over time. It’s showing him on now. You will gain access to PM after a waiting period.

                  No, MCB is still generally an oasis on the internet, but sometimes rats do sneak in. Hopefully if any payment was made it was done through PayPal (not using Friends and Family) so there's no financial loss.

                      Going by his other post, in the "misc sale" thread. No payment was made yet, OP is just "impatiently" waiting for a response for PP address info. Looks like it's been a whole 22hrs... 🙄

                      Yeah I have to agree with the above, it's barely been 28 hours since you asked for pp info. Settle down.

                      Not everyone gets immediate updates sent straight to their phone.

                      Some of us also have lives outside of the forum, and toddlers, and dinner to make, lawns to mow etc etc

                            I do that, I forget that duck duck go has 67 tabs open in the background, but at least then I don't have to remember my password.

                            I'd say that the MCB reputation is pretty strong. I purchased 2K2 Timmy on a Timmy Facebook Group and was asked for references in the group before my purchase. I replied that I had none, but that I had feedback on MCB, where people knew me. The guy accepted my purchase within the minute - yes, within the minute - without even checking any further.

                                Hey I remember you! Welcome back

                                To echo others, any of the OG or longterm members are far more reliable than anywhere else on the internet. We have seen a few poopoo heads sneak in, but it's mostly fine. Gotta be patient, a lot of folks don't get email/phone updates for the forum. Myself included.
