They are collectable. Facebook 2nd hand marketplace is basically one big pump and dump scam. It’s done with all the popular equipment that’s in limited supply. It’s also a popular preferred mask due to its customization comfort and performance.

I was able to avoid it for 20 years and then I made the mistake of buying a proflex. I really like the way they feel. But honestly, the CRBN is a way superior mask in terms of usability, ease of lens changes and just about everything else. But a lot of the JT's are $89 new versus the $250 price tag of the CRBN. The Proflex are like the legos of masks. I'm so OCD, that mixing and matching makes my eye twitch a little. But it's cool that you can make one however you like, whereas the CRBN is pretty much you get what you get.

That being said, I really like my Flex8 and my Proflex until I need to change ANYTHING. Then I cuss at it and say out loud many times, this couldn't be the best they could do! But the finished products are cool looking and wear well. I went down the Superdead road briefly but realized that I don't really want a $400 mask that I am afraid to wear and ruin it's value. Don't get me started on how bad the 33 Thread strap market is. I will never buy another one of their straps (new or used) until they fix their release and sale system, but I digress.
