Pinnacle announced their next Castle Jam event. I was impressed by the YouTube videos of their first event.

Does anyone have best recommendation for airport to fly into (from west coast) and best area to stay near Malaga, NJ?

Man, that video is really damned good. I linked it in the recent must-see paintball media thread. Even added "King of Nothing" by Adventure Club to my paintball playlist (for the drive to the field; no I'm not some twat with a bluetooth speaker out on the actual field).

Too bad I have zero occasion to be in that area.

Edit: Don't pay too much attention to the lyrics of "King of Nothing." They read like it was written by a 13 year old Twilight fan. The song is still a banger, though.

It was a blast. There are a few MCBer in that video.

I'd say your best bet is to fly into philly. Thats maybe 30-40mins away from the field.

I'll be there again next year.

As for places to stay, Vineland NJ is a bit built up and probably has a few hotels/motels there. Thats only 15-20mins away

This is my number one game to play next year, I shouldn't get roped into refing it. Probably even play with something other then the phantom for a point point two. The video from last year was awesome(I was reffing in myrtle Beach last year on that weekend). I've not heard one complaint except paint price lol.

For sure going, and easily my favorite event of the last several years. If you don't mind getting shot from close/multiple times, it's a blast. Its just chaos in the best way. And GREAT group of players of all types. It was awesome. I did a write up on the last one here:

Thanks! And I just hand tighten and use the strap wrench. There are definitely other specific tools, but it works and is a cheap, easy way to do it. I think mine was like $8. And I still do everything in that flying article, and haven't had an issue.

This tool just came out. In the promo video it shows the tool using the fill nipple as leverage to remove/install the reg.

Any thoughts if this would be better than taking a strap wrench?

When flying you definitely want to remove the tank reg. It’s an FAA requirement. I go on the TSA website and print out the paperwork and use rubber bands to hold on the tank. So it’s instantly recognizable when they inspect it. I have never had an issue. Anyone who travels regularly is putting the tank reg back on hand tight. If you don’t remove the reg there is a good chance you will not get the tank back.

Wow I am late to the party but Atlantic City international (ACY) is 15 -20 minutes from there. I've flown through that airport its small but easy. Philadelphia International (PHL) is a little further away, but is a larger airport with more carries, I've flown throug there a bunch.

And Atlantic City NJ is a big tourist spot because of all the casinos so there are a lot of hotels there and in Egg Harbor twp (where the airport is.) NXL used to host the mid Atlantic open in Atlantic city, and before that nppl and psp had events there too.

If you played last year, you should have gotten an email about signing up early. Most of us were on green team with Simon last year. The public registration starts at noon on 2-9 so sign up early to get on green.
I'm also wanting to organize a pump game there on Saturday so what's a good motel nearby?
