Questions on sherwood forest super game

Not sure if it should be here or ask the experts.

A few of us are going to the June 23 to 25 supergame at sherwood forest in Indiana. We have never been there before, so we have a few questions. I know it's FPO and pre registration. Coming from northern Michigan.

    Motels in the area.
Staging area, do we need to bring our own canopy and tables
How's the parking in relation to field
Any other useful info would be helpful.

Last time I played there they had camping on site so can’t help you with hotels I ended up camping. There won’t be much for tables or cover especially at there big games. If you want that stuff more then likely going to have to bring your own. Lots of parking hopefully it’s not too wet but it’s close to the field.

The field is definitely a blast to play. It’s setup really good for movement and gun battle’s.

The scenario I played had a lot of invincible players, and “ref sniper’s” (ref just comes over and pulls you out) They were using it to balance the game, but only pulled from the front line. The guys I was playing with really got hammered because they were up front the entire time. Hopefully you don’t run into that issue because It was annoying.

The ref snipers were a thing 8 and 6 years ago too. But in past, the sniper was a player with a punch card the team had to buy/ earn. That player could say, "Hey ref. Take that guy out."

We stayed in a super 8 or something when we played there the couple of times. Ill look at a map and see if my memory sparks.

Ok.. One of the years we stayed in Michigan city. At the best western. If I recall it was like 80 a night, and being in michigan city there wasn't the typical small town over crowding you see during event weekends. ( most everyone will go to Joliet naturally) .

I recall being able to find something good got dinner. I feel like it was Texas Roadhouse, but I couldn't spot it on the map.

The second time we went, I think we went to Holiday Inn Express as I had status with them for work.

Bring your own canopy and tables.

Thanks for the info. Won't tent it and my wife won't let me take the 5th wheel to a paintball event.

I love tenting it. But I won't do it on a road trip anymore. Local games are different.

But we played a game at Blast Camp in April years ago. We were all poor at the time so we packed a few vehicles and conveyed.

We all packed tents. Myself, and one other guy checked the weather right before we left and it changed from a sunny 60 to possible low of 40. We brought our ice fishing gear just in case.

We got blasted by a FREAK storm. A straight line blast of cold out of no where like Randy Orton. Destroyed all of the canopies. The wind died down a bit but stayed steady through the night. The temp plummeted through the night as well. It was 13*f with an inch of snow on the ground the morning of game day. I did qlright as I slept more than the rest of the crew, and I had winter gear to semi comfortably get ready in the cold. We all preformed pretty poorly on field as we were all just surviving at that point.. haha, from that point on I've decided if I'm making the trip, Ill likely get a hotel.

I went either 2021 or 2022 i can't quite recall. Well run and good people playing. Not huge field and turnout but neither small by any stretch. Defiantly set to have a good time. Hope weather is better. I had a medical issue arise so i left once it started raining saturday and went home sunday morning after stopping to buy fireworks. I know a place that sold me half sticks, could of been full for how big the fuckers were! I should go again this year money and weather permitting. The field takes the same time for me to get to as does my home field so why not make the drive right? .
RESPECT ME AND MY PINK RIMS!!!
