Praying for all the people down there right now.
From what I have been seeing, the whole region is in bad shape.
Wondering if they can pull it off.

I talked to Jay of PB Sports over the weekend and he is still heading down.
He was glad to be able to go because this event is one of his big ones and he enjoys going down there.
If you are there, stop by and say hi and maybe buy something.
He really tries to bring the best for players cause he is a player too.
Here's to a good event for you guys.
I will get down there someday but this year is really out.
Wife got diagnosed with cancer in Sept and we are still waiting for the surgery date, sometime soon.
The factory that makes the saline and blood bags got zapped by the hurricane and unless it is life threatening, there are no procedures being done.
So we are in a holding pattern.

Hey guys---
We're a week out, so just some reminders for those coming, and tips for first timers. LONG POST BUT PLEASE READ, ESP IF YOU'RE NEW.
There are a ton of roots and sticks on the field. If you're wondering if it's a cleats or a boots game---go boots. There are areas that rocky or hard or have roots popping out. Boots are your friend.
It's a massive field----if you can bring a camelback, it's not a bad idea. It will help you hydrate out there.
If you are a team that has radios, make sure that you bring them and have them charged and ready to go. If you haven't been here, don't assume that you're going to be able to head out for paint and air and then just walk back to where you got knocked out and your guys will just be there. It can be hard to find your guys after the 15 min walk out, 10 min to grab air and paint, and the next 15 back. You all will be kicking entirely too much ass to assume that you're going to be back in the same spot. Bring radios if you can, and have them ready to go.
If you can, bring backpacks for anyone in Spetz or heading to a hill. It's a haul to head out and come back. You'll be able to bring out paint, air, and something to eat in the deadzones so you don't need to make the walk back. It's going to save you 45 minutes round trip to haul yourself out, reload, and come back. You can bring them into the deadzones and drop them there and people don't mess with them. My own team and I have done it for years, and it's a lifesaver out there.
Make sure you connect with your unit commander. We're meeting up Friday to go over plans, and they'll talk to team captains to run the whole things by you all. We want everyone on the same page out there. I don't want anyone confused as to why we're asking you all to do something or not know what to do.
OTHER STUFF:
- We'll be rotating teams for lunch so we don't have huge groups coming off all at once. We don't want to give an inch of the field we earned back from an avoidable problem. If a commander pings you during the game and asks if your guys can go grab food, please do take the opportunity.
- If you're heading back onto the field and don't know where to go, just ask us at Command on your way in. We'll send you into action. No one should be out there feeling alone or confused when there are over 600 of us. If you're looking for a fight, we'll find you one.
- If you want to blow up bunkers or go A/T, let us know. Rockets are ALWAYS helpful on this field, and we appreciate you all.
- Tanks are your friends. Help them, and they will help you. We fight as a unit. You make their jobs easier, and they'll make yours easier. Keep their backsides protected and they'll keep NATO head's down so you can clear them out.
OFF THE FIELD:
- If you're camping, the earlier, the better. WARSAW's side fills up quickly and gets crowded. And our side damn near completely filled up for sign ups, so yeah....
- Firewood - there are guys that sell it by the chord locally off Craigslist and you might see it by the side of the road. It's generally good and cheap. Hit those guys up if you can. It's worth doing.
- Patches and Barrel Bags - I will have them there---just swing by the area next to the TOC. I'll have a camper there next to the WARSAW entrance with a big ol' WARSAW flag or just find me walking around the camping areas on Thursday and Friday. If some are left, I'll also be in the WARSAW jersey on Sat as you walk out to the field. The patches are going to the first 50 people who registered and pinged me, and the barrel bags to the first 250 of you that find me. I'll be there starting Thursday morning. Say hi.
- You mention anything about weather this week and swing by command for a swift, hard junk punch. We don't talk about it. May the paintball gods bless us this weekend.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Be ready for a good, hard fight next weekend. I have two goals for this game. For every one of you to have a great, fun weekend off the field and you all to absolutely crush it out there on the field. Let me know how if you have any questions on how I can make both those things happen for you.
While I got to accept the trophy for the win last year, every single person on WARSAW earned it. All of us, from the first time rec players (Grayson, looking at you) on up to the tanks, rocket guys, guys shooting FSR, to everyone of you dumping a loader on a push----make no mistake, it was a group win. You all on the field put in work, and I absolutely see you. Looking forward to working with you all to crush it again. See you in a few days!!
