    Just got home.

    Hi all my Fulda people-

I just got home from the game and had some time to reflect on my time the last few years as WARSAW's General. As you guys know, this was my last year in a driver's seat. I have two prevailing feelings --- grateful and proud.
I'm extremely grateful to all of the people on both sides that helped. Dezi, I could not have asked for a better person to General with my first year. You really get it---the secret of being a general is that it's not about you. It's about the 1000+ people out on the field and making sure that THEY are the focus. That they have an awesome time and they go home and can't wait for them to be back next year. You were an incredible partner, promoter, and person to introduce me to wrangling this monster of a game and making it fun for everyone.

To every single one of you that were an officer for me over every year (and I am literally bouncing between flying home today from NC and flying back out to TX today so if I forgot to tag you PLEASE just smack me here, it's not a slight it's brain fog) ---- I cannot stress enough how much you helped make these years an amazing experience. You guys have been the heart and soul of ours sides out there every single game, and been the fuel that powered our engines. You guys have been incredible and I'm thankful for each and every one of you. You guys have made this really fun for me and for the people out there giving it their all. I know I asked a lot of you, and you guys all did your best to deliver even when it wasn't reasonable. Thank you for everything.

To the people who played for and against me----you all are who have made this made home away from home every year. You all are what make this event what it is, and I loved every second of it (whether you were helping me or being a thorn in my side out there). I literally cannot list enough of you here, but believe it when I say I see you. And to Jason, Dezi, and Rahim Briktop Jones, thanks for being my partners in making this a great game for the players.
Lastly (before I get to this year), thanks to Eric Engler, Richard Jr L, Andrew Ferguson, and Paul W. Floyd III---thank you all for the opportunity. I never expected it, but did everything I could to make sure a great experience for players on and off the field. Thanks for taking a shot on me as a write-in General and letting me add my little spin to an awesome game.

Time to retire my General's jersey. Was an honor to wear it.
    --------------------------------
And for this year - - - You all kicked ass. Every single one of you here. I mean that. Holy hell was that fun. This year's game is how you get players for life. I could not be more proud of everyone on my side AND on Nato's side, from command on down. If you're going to take an L, THAT'S how you do it. The game literally came down to the buzzer and last base counts and people on both sides came off smiling, exhausted, and out of paint, air, and energy. I was happy to go out my shield with a game that damn near drained a semi of GI's paint, that no one gave up on, and that was an absolute knife fight for two days. That's the epitome of what Fulda can be, and every single player on that field contributed. I was so proud to see you all out there just killing it, esp at the end of that game when I saw people who were out of everything STILL trying to make a push. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Couldn't have been more proud of my small part in that. Thank you all.
