I'd love to, Kenai is pretty far from my path though. Kodiak > Anchorage > Seattle > Portland. To go kidnap Doc, it's Kodiak > Anchorage, drive to kenai, drive back to Anchorage, then continue on my merry way.. I'll suggest some of the kenai people abduct him thoughDirty907 Glad you are coming, would you mind stopping in Kenai, Alaska on your way South and kidnapping DocsMachine and bringing him with you?Comment

Quick tip, if you don’t want to get a shower pass there’s a flyers truck stop close with very very nice showers. If it’s muddy you’re gonna go to the showers at the field. Then immediately get muddy after.90% of my markers go “Psssssssssssss”

Just picked up an automag, haven't played in about 20 years as well! Last game was D Day scenario at Skirmish sometime in the early 2000s. Really looking forward to this game! For the veterans, roughly how much area do we get for a camp spot? Wondering if I should bring a big tent and canopy or just the canopy. Thanks!Comment

HolstromsGhost Welcome glad that you are coming out and coming back. Each spot will fit apx 4 cars (think honda civics) parked very close together in a 2 x 2 configuration. There is room for a good sized tent, a canopy a vehicle and an area for activities. If want to camp with us there is plenty of room for a tent and canopy and we have a parking area close by if your vehicle can make it, if it can't we have people who can come get you.Comment

So I wanted to show the main roads as well as the one area I would recommend not getting a camping spot. I also marked out the restrooms that are shown that are not there as well as the other spots the restrooms are in, the field entrances and finally I marked out a hill that you have to climb in order to get to the field.

That's good info I appreciate it, I was looking reserving one in the "A" area, but never having been it's hard to figure out what's going to be a good spot once you're actually there. I'll probably snag my own camp but I will definitely come hang out. Saw mention of a potluck somewhere and most folks seem to like my cooking well eough so once things get more pinned down I'll probably throw my hat in for that too. Really looking forward to it.Comment

For several years I used to login on the day registration opened and sign up and reserve my lower RV spot (for the years before I got the RV, I tent camped in the rain). Then one year I did so only to find out that although I was one of the 1st to sign up, all the lower RV spots had already been pre-reserved for Teams. I ended up using one of the RV spaces across the public highway. (3/4-mile plus to walk)
I didn't care to walk the additional distance back and forth across the road ( I was 65 then, 70 now), more often than not in the mud and rain. I spent more time waiting for transport back and forth, than I did playing. They had a few 4x4s running back and forth, but you were lucky to get space on one of those.
Nor were you able to bring your own "shuttles" to get you and your gear back and forth, due to liability concerns.
Then COVID came along, and I never went back.
The 1st time I went there were about 1000 players. The last time there were 2000 and they turned some away. I suspect the upper limit is higher now.....
Hopefully they have made it more player friendly.........Comment

I live in southeast Idaho, so camping for me and my son. I think we are in the same row as you, Joker.
