I think Blue IS the issue.
My understanding is that Timmy’s hands are pretty much tied when it comes to doing much field advancement. I don’t blame Blue either though, make that money and ride off into the sunset. I’m just bummed because I loved it there.

It is the lack of [shown?] appreciation that shines through that I do blame everyone involved for. Oh well.

Im pretty sure they are doing just fine with the natural gas rights. Didn’t they put a bunch of wells there. Unless they shut it down in PA. I was collecting for a while till NY put an end to it 4-5 years ago.

For what it is worth, I played the fall Castle game several times and enjoyed it. The Expandables would meet up the day before for pump only play at EMR. This meant that you could play the Castle field with pump only, a truly fun time. You could basically get a 2-day pass and use the same paint both days. This was great because pump play, especially for us, did not require a lot of paint. They changed that policy last year, requiring separate paint for each day. This was not received well. It was a blatant money grab. Especially since the Castle game itself was contracted for 3 teams to 2. The pay more to get less model of business does not make me eager to return for the Castle game this fall. I may just play the pump game, if we even bother to have it there.

When do they run the pump game? I might be able to rally the troops for a pump day there.

We usually do a pump day the day before Castle Jam.

Last time I played there was for a magfed only game called kilo-sixnine back in 2017. Being that it was magfed and actually promoted on the magfed pages at the time, we had about 300 people show up and it was a blast. That field is just amazing with first strikes, I remember running my ccm sr1 and blasting guys at a 100 yards out. I went up with my dad, that was also the last time he played paintball with me lol. He was running a spec ops tac one longbow with q pods and I remember some of the magtard players giving him a hard time about it lol, one of the reasons I switched to mainly pump play lol.

I can definitely see though why the field has been in a constant state of decline, they don't advertise at all from what I can tell, I never see people sharing their events on facebook, maybe a post or two, but thats it and when I do see an event for them, it always shows less than 20 people going which doesn't breed confidence. I mean skirmish is similar in size and crazy field bunkers, but they've always catered to paintball players in the sense not diluting their brand with larpers/airsofters and they still get more players on a rec day in cold winter days than emr will get for a planned scenario game.

I live about an hour from emr now, maybe I'll check them out for shits and gigs one of these days, but the glory days are well and gone from what I can tell.

It’s a fun field to play. We should try an organize a pump day and just do a random walk on day. Or just organize a get together there. The fields are definitely fun to play.

Honestly it would be a good place to host a big Stock Class / open pump game w/ Lots of space for camping.

          $45 Entry + $15 a Bag, or a Case for $45 says they offer CO2 fills still on their website. ( w/ “All day air / Co2 included” )

          (So $90 - $60 day)

It would be a good middle ground between the New England and mid-Atlantic guys. Could yield a healthy turnout.

Pumpers use to be huge I bet we could get a decent turn out if we organized it ourselves. I think it’s (20) for a private game.

@Chuck, I'd be down. I am working on an open class pump and I am only about 90 mins from EMR.
        Working...
