I'm pondering it. I mean, it's like REALLY close to me, so I should go. Just need to build up some motivation. And find that newer air tank I bought, hopefully it's still in hydro.
Im feeling blowback this weekend. Thinking an alley cat, and a modified tippmann a5.
Im more worried about how imma mount 2x go pros on my gear. My contour mounts are all dry rotted, and my buddy is giving me a go pro session to add to my gear.
Looking forward to rocking the field with yall. Bringing the niece again, so ill likely have to be less aggressive than I normally am. We should try to get on the same team this go around. Though im sponsored so ST reserves the right to move me if needed.
Will do! There are usually two giant games at splattag, I missed the first one in june this year so there was no way I was missing this one.
It was an absolute blast. Incredbliy well done event. This was my first time playing there and the staff, the players, and the field were all absolutely excellent. I'll try to get through the video footage I took sometime later this week.
I wanted to thank you guys for making this gbg a memorable one.
gbg is what made me fall in love with "non outlaw" style paintball years ago. Ive been to many gbgs, and had a blast at some, and had bad days at others. This one felt pretty special.
Myrkul came up, and crashed at my place. We rode together to and from the game, and I brought my 13 year old Niece out for her second ever GBG. We went to Milwaukee Burger for dinner, and he got to expierence a Midwestern bloody mary..
We managed to get a small MCB group together in staging, and we all managed to be on the same team. Shout out to Myrkul, Blackmagic71, and RichardBaggins. I know we had other mcb members including our general, but I dont know their screen names.
The premium paint was problematic for most of us, but the weather was a perfect 79 and sunny. Gbg is historically hot AF, or rainy.
I got to shoot my tippmann A-5, Myrkuls Freestyle, and Minty's shoebox shocker( our teams general). I got a few kills with each marker. It was a riot to mix things up.
I managed to get behind the enemy lines, and capture the enemy main base flag. The general was in the base, so it also counted as a general kill. With that being the only base capture we got for the day, I was awarded most feared opponent by the enemy general. Aka MOFO. This is more of an honor than I figured it would be, and a huge accomplishment for me. Ive only captured the enemy base 2 times including this one in 13 years of playing giant games. And I used to be on a large team that recieved many awards over the years, but getting one from my personal efforts feels a lot more rewarding.
I think I got some great footage, and will be working on uploading it to my Youtube this week. I also got some chapped inner thighs from all the chub rub.
Hope to see more MCB members make a journey to Giant Big Games in years to come, and I'll do my best to accommodate yall as a host to the field.
Sexy action shot of me smoking people with the THUNDER CAT!
Unexpectedly, this is the first event that I voluntarily ran a mech for 85% of the day and I have zero regrets about doing so. The field is set up so damn well that BPS is legitimately the last thing anyone is worried about.
BrickHaus was the perfect host, and this was the perfect field. Already have plans in the works to make it back out in the spring.
