    Lvl 10 setup

I have an x-valve with a lvl 10 bolt and ive never quite gotten the bolt to work properly. No matter what my setup has been the bolt is still way to forceful and will chop paint. My biggest problem is the bolt will jump 1/2 way into the breech before resetting. This is even with a 000 carrier. My second biggest problem is the bolt not resetting. I live in Colorado and I think altitude is playing a part into why its not working. Ive even tried using the red spring but that causes to much backward force which causes my FPS to be above 300. Any tips on getting this setup properly? I'm at the point where I may sell it, get a lvl 7, and stick with a force feed hopper.

    #2
    gold spring
Largest carrier that does not leak
    no shims
remove your detent or detents during install
    Overbore your barrel
    tank output pressure 750-900psi
I recommend setting it up with a stock rt on/off (.750 pin), ULT can do weird stuff.

This is what I posted back on the old MCB. I don't know if the links still work, but I saved it for posterity.

      Quick tuning instructions:

      Remove all LVL 10 shims.
Pick 1 carrier o-ring and stick with it.
      Use oil.
Use #2 carrier (2 lines, no dots, or largest one you have).
Shoot 1000 shots to break in o-ring.
Move broken-in o-ring to largest carrier that doesn't leak.
Use red spring for 285 fps. Use longer spring for higher velocity or to be more gentle (fragile paint), shorter spring for lower velocity or to be less gentle (thicker shell).
If bolt sticks after encountering a jam, add a shim.

If it leaks down the barrel with the trigger at rest, it is a leaking powertube/carrier o-ring.
If it leaks down the barrel with the trigger held, it is a leaking on/off top (teflon) o-ring.
