I need to adjust the trigger rod 1/2 a turn but the rod seems to be glued into the clevis? I've tried gripping the rod with pliers but im putting large gouges into the metal. Whats the best way to adjust the rod length?

When I had to adjust mine I just used a vice grip that wasn't even clamped down very hard and it turned easily.
If there's something locking the threads you might have to heat it up to break it. Be careful not to bend the clevis.
Remember - credit card thickness between the rod and back of the trigger when it's on safe.

Months-late response for anyone who finds this thread in the future: Hit the threaded end with a butane torch for just a couple of seconds. You should see a momentary puff of smoke. That'll take care of the threadlocker. Then you can turn the rod with vise grips. Best to hold the clevis with some flat jawed pliers to avoid bending or twisting.
The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

No. Heat it up with a lighter or heat gun to break the loctite. There is nothing on a mag that you need vicegrips for. Geesh.

I suppose after heating the loctite I could have checked to see whether the vise grip was really necessary at that point, but I already had it at-hand. And it is convenient being able to dial in the spacing on the jaws so that the applied pressure is constant. I find that I have a tendency to grip too hard to compensate when rotating my wrists.

(I'm joking, of course, no need to tell me to go back to trade school.)
