    On/off top ID

Could anyone please ID the make of this on/off top? And perhaps the correct orientation?

That's the original stock. Fat solid part goes in first.

They eventually changed the design to a universal style, as people were putting these in upside-down and getting bad shoot-down.

Well that explains quite a bit. I aired it up and had the automag equivalent of a lit up dash board. I have an aka top in my other mag for just this reason.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this design. Even when installed properly, it's restrictive. I'm not sure how much it affects performance, but I never liked that. ANS has their high flow tops on clearance for $1.95. Might be worth picking up a few to keep on hand in case you run into more of these in the future.

I'm in Canada, so shipping isn't worth it. I have a check it and a later style stock one. I assume these have similar orientations to the other?

Looks like an aftermarket, not an original... the first iterations had a cross on the top like the one Toestr has in another picture in this thread.
