Sight Rail Mounting Tips

Any tips for securely mounting a sight rail? I have both an AGD and ANS rail and neither will mount securely. With the ANS rail I tried tapping the body for the rail's set screw to help secure it but still wobbly. Any sight rials that are secure?

Sounds like maybe the 2x rails you have are stretched? I had thr super og solid agd rail and it was tight. Unfortunatly I took it off years ago in preference to the line of sight being the body. And it eventually got stepped on after falling off of the shelf it was on, so I threw it away long ago.

But that being said, you may be able to measure the gap of the raip and carefully bend it inward some so it pinches on the body profile better.

I had to throw mine in a vice and bend it closed a little bit, oh probably two or three years ago. The aluminum bends outward after a while, especially if you really tighten down the set screw.

Just be sure to wrap it in rags or use lumber, so you don't mar it.
