Reverse stabilizer for auto mag

I picked up a great little classic mag recently And am on the lookout for old school parts and pieces. Will be running co2.

Saw this on eBay. The price seems crazy like with anything eBay. but it is unusual. Looking for some mag experts to help fill me in how was this thing supposed to be used? Input through the top? Does it help clean up the hoses required to run a mag- can’t wrap my head around it

That looks a bit different.

You can still buy the "automag" stabs from PPS. The "sideline" model. You use a male-to-male nipple out of the valve into the side of the stab. Then the top of a stab is your input and you run that to your ASA.

ahhh - so you run it parallel to the valve rather than the usual vertical ASA configuration. cuts down on the hoses but puts another body up top. not my thing i think.

I think somebody took a female Stab and changed out the top... unless PPS made a custom one-off for somebody.

Why not cap the valve and run a conventional Stab?

Love that barrel! Is there any shoot down with this setup?

Nothing I've noticed. I used a similar setup with my EPneumag and had no issues at 12bps, so this should be fine as well.

I'll have it at Ultimate so you can try it out if you like.
