Long story short blue loctite was not enough to keep my feed neck on a ULE body so I ended up using a small amount of wood glue. Worked great, but now I need to remove the feed neck. My thought was to boil the whole body, but my concern is the anno dye may leach out when I boil it. Any ideas on how to remove a wood glued from aluminum?

I don't know the solution but I have boiled anno'd parts and yes it has leached. Took a significant amount of gloss out of the finish.

Butane torch turned down low should do it. Wood glue melts at a pretty low temp.Comment

I wouldn't necessarily call it a dust finish, but it's definitely less glossy. Kind of like the texture that's left from laser engraving. It wasn't really uniform either.Originally posted by FredMnkyDad10 View Post

PV wood glue can be softened again by any of the following, denatured alcohol, vinegar, or mild heat (hair dryer on high or low setting on heatgun). None of these should damage your finish.
