    Myrkul's Magical Mag Build Thread 68 Classic (In Process)

    Finally got all the parts in for this bad boy! Need to clean up some pitting on a few of the older pieces still, but it's mostly ready for anno! Probably going to go with a Red/Silver/Black Splash. Very happy with how this is coming along though!

    Special Thanks to KCCockerDoc for the milling on the rail, VASA, and sight rail.

    Here is the pre-anno mock up.

      If it's actually steel then no, but most steelies are actually aluminum. I definitely have one I wouldn't mind tossing in with this batch. Has a HP output reg on it too already!

      None that'll work on this....yet anyway. I've always loved the teardrop barrels.

      12" Tear Drop has been located and is inbound! It'll have to make the trip to BMC for freak boring after it gets here, but that should be completed in time to make it with the rest of the anno batch.

    A very cool looking build. I like that grenade looking foregrip.

    Tear drop barrel can work if you get a Docs adapter.

      It's the shorty style ACI expansion chamber. ACI ASA too now that I think of it.

      I have a docs adapter, (and it's the dual detented kind so it still can handle the small paint). My only tear drop barrels (which I love) are impulse threaded or Spyder threaded. Going to need to track down a AC threaded tear drop and get it freak bored to work on this or come up with another option.

      It's ACI's first gen 4 chamber sub zero ex chamber , before they came out with the groovier, more ergonomic looking versions...I remember them marketing these and saying the 4 chamber models worked just as well as the larger ex chambers you could get at the time. Personally I like the smaller size and style of these more !

    Yep, let me check for sure that I still have it.

    Have you considered doing cerakote finish on this. Since it is stainless body that cannot be anod. Doing cerakote would give options to do the whole thing in one color to match or different colors to flow together more. I have couple projects that will get that treatment.

    Also what sight rail is that. I like it, very cool looking.

      I actually haven't, I figured this had enough of a really old school vibe that it would look better just leaving the body as is. I could get it powder coated black for free as well, but I'm not sure I want to go that route.

    Really happy this is finally going to anno, it turned into a classy little build. As everything does, it makes me want to get on my own builds again.

        FredMnkyDad10 Here's a small taste of some projects I've done since I started machining, I don't have pictures of anywhere near everything.
        Did some milling on just about every marker pictured, slotted the oracles, fully milled the "carteresque" P blocked and milled the body Wasn't much I didn't touch on this one including making a pump kit out of a cocker pump kit "Carteresque" was the request, and it turned out beautifully once annod. Made the bolt as well Internally hosed phantom Modified stock Imp bolt Bolt action 98 stuffed into a stock. Made it fit, made the trigger, and God no I was not responsible for rhe zip ties.
