    Help identifying rail

    Hello gentlemen,

I've been slowly working on getting a friends q-bow up and running. It seems like this one may have been a converted tac-one. It never came with a foregrip, but instead had a spec-ops A5 grip rat-fitted on. My friend picked up a Q-loader and I've been trying to get it installed and functioning for him.

How it came(excuse the photobucket watermark):

The rail on here has the mounting holes in the side for the longbow, but unlike some other ones I've seen, and Tac-Ones I've seen, this has 3 holes in the front where you would normally mount the foregrip. A normal automag VASA does not fit, and the way the holes are setup for a tac-one, that foregrip won't work either...

    Any help is appreciated.

so, there was at least one E-Tach longbow made, because i have pictures of it when i helped facilitate a trade involving it

but i think those screws were offset...

could have been someone adding some more mounting options to a stock longbow rail pre anno as well

There are like 10 different versions of the tacone rail. See if you can get a measurement of the hole. If it is 1/4" it was designed for a 1/4-20 low profile screw that is uses on the am/mm vert asas. If you need one with out the wings on top i can cut one down and sell it to you. just let me know via pm.

I'll get those measurements tonight and reach out. Thanks!

If you can get your hands on an SP Gadget Grip it should fit in place of a winged foregrip. You'll have to loctite the screw on because it can just twist off otherwise since it lacks the wings.

Also, I have a mostly raw (still some anno in the threads) VASA with some pitting and other marks you can have if you want. Then you could mill (or grind/file) the wings off.

You can use a RT VASA and use two of the 3 mounting screw.
I will post later some pictures of my mag build with the same rail design.
