    Ult a level 7?

I read a few posts on AO that it is possible to Ult a class valved mag, but they mention shims and most of the posts are archived with dead links/photos.

I am assuming the shims are for the on/off? And what sized shims/where do you get them?

A ULT is often problematic in an RT/X-Valve. It will be even more so in a Classic Valve. You’re better off putting an RT on/off and pin in a Classic Valve if you’re looking for some improvement. It will lighten the pull some, but it won’t increase trigger return force like it does in an RT/X-Valve, as that’s a function of the valve design, not the on/off and on/off pin.

But to answer your question, yes, ULTs use shims for adjustment. They come with the ULT. They’re the same as Level 10 shims except .005” instead of .010”, if memory serves.

RT on/off in a classic is the way to go.

I've been working on a new on/off, I'm calling it the Lc Hybrid on/off. I pulled the design from the AGD Classic, RT, and ULT. The prototype #1 (P1) was released to the public for testing, it worked well, without complaint, but I found two issues that was easily improved on. I made the changes, ask everyone to destroy the P1 and I replaced it with the P2 for more testing. Again, zero complaints so far. I have 26 on/offs being tested over the past few week's, they are getting some field time, back yard, and bench testing with positive feed back. So far it's proven to work in the my LcX, Classic, and X valves, it will not work in the ReTro style valves with the on/off top stepped oring bore. We've been testing in Pneumags, Hyperframes, Classics, and Emags with positive results. Prototypes were made from 6061 aluminum but production units will be made from brass. That said I have made one last change that will end up in the final version, so I guess that would make the final version a P3.

        Here's a pic of the P2's

What are the benefits of your on/off? Love seeing the new product, unclear on what difference to expect. Lighter trigger pull?

Benefits(?) Fires out of the gate with brand new orings and on the first or second pull (compare that to the RT on/off it doesn't 99.9% of the time, and has gotten worse over the years) Works in the Hyperframe, Emag, Pneumags and Classics, which implies it has a lighter pull, not walkable in mech, but sings with a pneumag. I found it will run my T-rex at half the LPR pressure on brand new orings, which is impossible with the RT until its quite broken in. I find the trigger pull to be somewhere between the RT and ULT but might get lighter as the oring's relax over time, that is yet to be proven as this is all brand new stuff. The Hybrid on/off was not developed or meant to be in direct competition with AGD or a replacement to what Tim sells, it's simply inventory for my custom marker project, designs (as always) reflect what I can produce in my small shop with the one cnc machine I have.

Very interesting. How controlled is the RT effect in an X-Valve with these? Is it possible to shoot single shots, or does this version result in multiple shots per pull?

100% controllable, as is with all X valves depending on how they are set up

Any idea when they’ll be for sale? I’d be interested in a couple of them.

This is the only project going at the moment, meaning nothing else will bump it. I'm on it until it wraps up but no crystal ball to know the completion date. That said I've got feedback from less than 1/2 of guys that are testing, and others I'd still like to see additional feedback from. We know it works, I just want to broad testing across a wide range markers and user experience levels, including feedback on other things I haven't outlined here, plus some I would like to get without asking specifically for it, because I dont want to plant ideas in peoples heads if that makes sense. The more I say, the more it skews the data I'm really looking for.

Yeah, I’d like one just cause I’m gonna run my mag as my primary this year and let’s face it, we can never leave anything well enough alone
