2 oval mod

Who needs an eight hole mod when you can have a 2 oval mod.




I took apart a valve today and saw this lovely back half of a valve.

Wasn't it Diamond Labs that had an aftermarket reg back that had two kidney cuts?

And, as always, something that was done 100% for marketing and sales, not performance. The original "8 hole" mod helped because the early- very early- reg halves were drilled semi-randomly, and the holes in the front and back halves didn't always line up. Before too long, Kaye tweaked the production to make sure the holes were indexed properly.

After that, any additional holes or ports or cuts were irrelevant- those ports didn't matter since the port into the on-off, to say nothing of through the on-off, remained the same size.
