    Meteor frames

Hey guys, I’m slowly acquiring parts to build an old school style smart parts banzai green splash mag I always listed after flipping through APG back in the day. Once I get all the parts I want I will pick brains on a anodizer and ship ‘‘em out and let the build begin. I just saw meteor make’s aluminum mag grip frames. I know someone on here has one, what the consensus on fit and finish? How’s the safety and trigger fit and feel. And how does the knuckle duster version feel?

I can take pictures of them(both knuckle duster version) and classic) side by side with a composite frame later today, from what I gathered, it takes composite trigger, I cut a double. It comes with a retaining pin if you're gonna use the original single hole grips, but meteor also made these to fit 45° grips, and has no safety whatsoever(I'll be using 2 of these on pump mags so not a huge issue as long as I leave it uncocked)

Buuuuuuuuut why I really wanted to post on here I had oDm make pannels for them cause while regular 45° grips do indeed fit, they just didn't fit how I hoped, the ones oDm made(pictured above) came out really nice, I'd highly recommend it for a full anodized build.

You can find his 45° grips here, I'm sure if you ask him about the Meteor frame, make sure to show him my Pic, or mention that it's for the automag meteor frame. He makes another 45 meteor frame pannels.

Yeah they do not come with triggers. I am cutting down a double trigger to fit and ano.

I cut down a double trigger for Anno on mine. As mentioned, there are no safeties. They are excellent frames though, feel great in the hand and I've had zero issues with mine. Nice, fast, and tight. The extra weight from the knuckle duster isn't really noticeable beyond some how making the absolute tank that is an automag feel even MORE solid.

      Edit:

Neither. I'm not sure who originally made the double trigger I cut down, I stole it off a junk stock frame that had the trigger guard cut. Definitely lots of old-school homebrewery on the entire build though, plus a lot of modern touches. KCCockerDoc milled the rail and the sight rail. KMDPB did the Anno. Doc's stainless dual detent adapter. BMC freak bored bull barrel. R/T on off piston and beveled level 10 bolt. The body is actually from an ex rental that operated out of saint louis, I had my father in law bead blast it to clean it up. I have about 3 cases through it and still haven't broken a single ball. Definitely keeps up with modern mechs zero problem. It's one of my better shooting guns as long as I keep dumping oil in it, it gets fussy if it's dry though.
I'm glad the sub zero is getting some love. Comfy AF. I'm not sure why those aren't more popular on classic mags. The ASA is ACI too.

Luke, your single triggers would work on these frames right? Your frame and meteor follow the AGD specs.

This looks EXACTLY like the one I cut down.

CF and Intelli triggers have different geometry. All of my triggers, both double and single only fit Intelli style frames. The AGD and I assume the Meteor grip frames only use the CF frame triggers. That said I'm not 100% sure about the Meteor frames, I've never had one in my shop. The trigger I posted here does fit the AGD CF frame, I purchased it years before the Intelli came out.
