I'm always one mag away from the perfect mag. The beauty of the old guns is you get to make it perfect in your eyes. I have 6, some with emag valves some with rt valves and some with classics and I love them all. While the emag valves are faster I find myself grabbing my original classic the most, it was the first and we have some history over the last 30 years. The best part is you can still go out and rip things up with a 200 dollar classic and you won't be too mad if you get a scratch on it.

I'm trying to get someone local to sell me a classic mag, but she insists it's worth close to $400, and won't sell it separately from half a dozen spyders.

I will say being able to do the build yourself and being able to learn how to rebuild a mag valve/tune the gun will greatly reduce cost for your build.

Here's my my most recent custom build I did, I wanted to see how far I could get by doing something really custom, but also didn't want to drop a grand into another mag build. All the parts/ano, not including machining time I did myself, puts this build right around the 600 dollar mark. I will say time played a factor in this build too, If you slow down and shop around for parts, sometimes deals can be had. The ano work, I worked out a trade with a buddy, that's how I got the ano work done so reasonable. All in, from initial concept to end build took me about a year to do. I wanted something very different from "normal" mag builds and very happy with the build.

As far as a build sheet goes:

    Cut down ule body,
    RPG Feedneck
    Docs Detents
    Polished minimag valve half
    Red delete aluminum back cap
    Lvl10 Bolt/RT on/off
Cut down wgp stock barrel, threaded for agd crownpoint tip, and freak bored
Custom milled and shortened classic rail
    RPG angled vasa
    AGD Y grip
Autococker parts.com straight asa (super underrated)
    Inception Regulator
    CCM air Fittings
Where would one get one of those reg-delete rear bodies?

I started buying mag stuff around 2010 and building my mags then so take everything I'm about to post(price wise) with a grain of salt.

If you consider being a thief sub 500,then this is my ideal mag for that

Let me explain, this is my first mag build, one of my brothers "let me use his x valve" and had an intelli frame that I "borrowed". My other brother bought the green ule and cp foregrip for me on ebay, I got the splash vert Asa on ebay long ago for maybe 10-15$ the RPG feedneck I remember buying for 25$ the rail I got in a lot with the drop and the cp mini Asa that was black, I bought on the old mcb that was for 100$ I got the slime green parts anodized with my brothers part build, so it was like 20$ a piece, that brings the grand total of around 220$

The marker I actually bought for 500$ is this one

Now my most "cheapest" high end is this ripper pump mag I built.

I got a hacked up ripper body for 50$ my brother gave me the barrel, the rail I bought on ebay for around 20-30$ and milled/dremeld it the vert Asa was a stock one I had in my parts bin that I dremeled, the foregrip was a 20$ one on here the kapp pannels and groovy frame I got for a steal at 100$ the valve, cp feedneck, Asa and smart parts drop I had from my parts bin and the reg house I got for like 25$ the pump kit was was the second most expensive thing that came out to if I'm not mistaken 125$ and the most expensive part of the build was the anodizing, back when Blizzard was starting out he offered a few discounted free reign, he charged me 200$ for it, so with that it puts it in at about 600$ give or take

If I were to have the option for a Bezos budget, I'd buy every Karta known and I'd build each up with an xvalve, prolly a kam86v2 frame, I'd pay a machinist to make a custom foregrip that would match the body and rail, prolly an inception ez on off, Nummech feedneck, RPG retents, ccm fittings and maybe that new mozak twister barrel or have him make me a custom barrel to match, then every build I'd aroura plate and make one working build out of it and scrap the rest, but that's if I had Bezo's money

All of those are beautiful in their own right. I was envisioning something like the first mag as my build. Would def exceed $500 in 2025 fake dollars though.

Can you tell me what the second mag has on it?

That second one has the following parts

      • RPG Pariah Body
      • Luke's Customs Beta Rail
      • "X Valave" Lasered X Valve(the lasering is different than standard Xvalves)
      • RPG Subzero Feedneck
      • Inception Designs Stella Barrel with Deadly Winds Whip tip
      • Logic UMF Triggerframe
      • modified Deadly Winds Carbon Fiber foregrip
      • CP On/Off ASA & CP Drop forward
      • CCM Air Fitting
  • Number six
    (just a number)

    • Altus, OK (I'd never heard of it, either)

I've got Micro's, ULE's, Ion frame mods, a homebrew pistol with two more on the way, and something in the works that's going to be most excellent, but the one I always end up playing the most is still the one I built back in '05. There's qualities I like about the others (mostly weight), but I've played the most with that one, and I know it best. It's probably not the most accurate, and certainly doesn't have the rate of fire most people desire, though.

You might be the luckiest person in the world for the scores you got on all those mags....

I think luck and good brothers played a big part in having the collection I have today. At one point I had a felt like selling that 500$ slime green mag for a 100$ loss, glad I never crossed that path. I feel like I spread my luck around too I've snagged some amazing things for my brother.

Really dig all of them, mainly cause green is my favorite anno color and glad you held on to them. Still have my classic I bought in 95 and it still rips. After getting back into the game this year because the nephew wanted to go I found that old dusty box and out came the lust for old markers. 5 more mags later, still at least one short. Just saw you are in paso, I was in slo for many years before moving out to tx...while I don't miss ca much I did really like central CA and miss paso wineries.

Thanks for sharing! What's the build for the red emag, the mag next to it, and the green mini?

Red one I've got probably 600 into agd rail, Helios body, emag valves with level 10, agd bike grip, intelligent frame, smart parts freak barrel set, and a cp asa. The micro in got super cheap with a bunch of barrels, bolts, valve parts. I switched the valve out to an emag valve which was most of the cost in the build and added the benchmark single trigger since the stock frame was a cut away and I hate them. Probably have about 600 in to that one but it is still in work. Getting stripped down and gonna send it out for anodize soon. The micro is pretty much a stock micro other then the benchmark double trigger frame. It was built with spare parts, only thing I think I bought for it was the green forward grip like 12 bucks, rail 20, benchmark double 50 bucks and the body which I got for 40 off eBay. Rest of the stuff was all spares from the micro build. The ray gun looking one is my old classic from 95 with lots of parts I traded for or bought back in the day.

I've also got another chrome body classic that's pretty much stock, I just have to dig it out and take a picture. It's my loaner gun built from left over spares. As you cruise the deals you end up acquiring lots of random parts which turns into the well I have a trigger frame a valve a body now let's build another one.

Brooo, that's tight. What do you have on it? Especially the back half of the valve?! How many shots do you get out of it with the little tank?

I’ll have to see about shit wise I’ve played with a 13/3000 before but never really needed to pay attention to how many shots exactly
