    E-Mag board / electronics question

Hey gang, picked up an Emag in the wtb section. I also placed an order at AGD for a rebuild kit and a new battery. Valve is early I believe at # EM00328.

I’ve never even seen an Emag in real life but have always wanted one. Started with what I knew and replaced all the orings. No leaks and works fine in mechanical mode.

New battery was installed and it turns on with a button on the back of the trigger frame. Nothing happens when pulling the trigger in electronic mode.

I found the magnet on the back of the trigger is disintegrated but some of it is still there or at least enough to stick to a screw driver to pull it out. I was going to order a new set. Would a weak magnet be enough to cause it to not fire at all?

Did all Emags have screens on the boards? I attached a pic of mine. There’s no screen but there’s a blindingly bright light in the bottom left that scrolls through different colors when turning it on and off and stays on yellow while it’s on.

If anyone knows anything else to look at/test to get the electric mode working I’d be most appreciative. Thank you!

Ok so after posting this I took out the trigger magnet, stuck it to my screw driver again, and had the right end pointing towards the sensor this time and the electric mode works fine. Please disregard that part of the post.

Does anyone know by the look of it what board that is?

do you have the manual for that board? There are thousands of settings that used trigger pulls and registers to set it up. If the trigger on the trigger magnet mount is not on there and adjusted correctly you wont get anything happening. Lift the solenoid plunger clip up and see if it fires.

Thanks Tuna, it didn’t come with any manuals. I’m not even sure what board it is. I’m a little out of my element with these but I thought all the emag boards had screens on them and this one just has a light. The gentleman I bought it from said it’s been sitting for 10+ years. I was hoping someone might know by looking at it?

Mechanical and electric mode are both working now. Just need to order a new magnet for the trigger.

Best upgrade for these is a Scifi board. No guessing and total control, all while being able to make it tournament legal.

It says #13 sets the default values but it doesnt mention what those values are. I am pretty sure I threw a few of these boards in the lagoon...

Thanks y’all I’ll check out the sci-fi boards for down the road.

Was there a particular wire made to connect the warp feed to the emag board?

on the original board there was a separate 1.25mm Dual Pin connector to attach a warp cable. 1/8" male plug on the other end to the warp. I dont remember where it went on that Reflex board

Hey gang, sorry one final question. Got my new magnet for the back of the trigger. Shoots now in electronic mode but the trigger is a little floppy and doesn’t return all the way forward. Per the picture the magnet on the top of the trigger is stuck to the top of the trigger frame. I’m assuming that top magnet there should be stuck (glued?) to the top of the trigger so the magnets inserted through the top of the trigger frame under the rail pull the trigger forward/up?

If that’s the case does the rod holding the trigger in the frame come out the driver side or the passenger side?

                      Thank you!

Please disregard, I got the trigger pin out and got the magnet secured in the top of the trigger. Thanks everyone!

Dont forget to add an oring on top of the magnet in the frame to hold it in or you will surely lose it.
