I’m putting this as its own thread instead of my micromag rebuild thread in case somebody else down the line has the same issue. I bought a DYE rotor I believe force feed hopper for my micromag rebuild thread. The main issue left is that it shreds paint I’m pretty sure due to the force fed hopper being too strong for the bal detent and 4 balls will be pushed down and shot at once. Micromag detents are different than automags. Anyone have this issue or know how to remedy it? I have an old 12 volt revvy that doesn’t have that issue but it can’t keep up with the ROF of the RT valve. Thank you in advance!

This is an issue with quite small paint.
Turn the stack pressure down on your rotor and it will alleviate the problem.
You can also make the detent a bit deeper by adding some JB weld if the stack pressure reduction isn't enough.Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Yeah I didn’t think about the smaller paint. I was thinking maybe the detent spring wasn’t strong enough to hold a force fed hopped but that makes a lot of sense it probably isn’t hitting the ball fully with smaller paint. It’s a plastic detent but maybe I could layer some epoxy on the end of it or something.
Good idea about the rotor as well. I haven’t messed around with it enough to know that I could adjust that.
Thanks again!

You need a stronger spring and potentially a detent that sticks further into the breach.BeardedWorks.com (Your Inception Designs and Shocktech Dealer)

I run a Rotor on my micro and I have never had this issue, but I haven't run it in a couple years, Hellion is probably right, it is the smaller paint.
Maybe we could get Doc to make a cocker to twistlock adapter and you can use Superman's Automag detents and remove the PTP detent? 😋Comment
