How is the volume on automag gas-thru grip?

Hey all, I have a question about the gas thru grip that comes off an automag. I'm building a Tippmann custom pro with an egrip. My goal is to be able to drop the operating pressure down so that it will operate reliably at my tanks output pressure(650psi). I've seen some photos of the grip and it looks like the top is a pretty open bore, how far down does it stay open until it necks down for the 1/8th fitting?

It holds a good bit. It doesn’t narrow, it’s stays open until it terminates in to the bottom which is probably like 1/4” thick.
