Very Complete Lightning Micromag recently (kind of) Surfaced

Everyone may not be as jazzed about this as I am, but I LOVE those MMs.

This one popped up on FB the other day but it had been sold a year ago according to the poster.

It looks really great and very complete!


At one point, I had this one:




If I remember right, the valve number was GFX0000001


I remember another one trading hands on old MCB that was just the body and barrel maybe? Or Just body and frame?
Anyone have pictures of that or another Lightning MicroMag?
Armageddon MicroMags? Still have never seen a picture of one of these.

There was a member here named Robertsr (or something close) a few years ago who had a collection of Micromags. I think he had 3 (of 6?) of the lightning micromags.

Robester or an imposter (improbster?) just returned and made a single post the other day. I pinged him about this but haven't heard back. I got that one from him during a Black Friday event in like 2010 or 11 and then sold it to Riot eventually, who might have let it go again along with that less fully equipped version.

Realizing now (4 months later) that I might have purchased it on another black friday situation from the person that got it from Robster? All blending together after many years.

I was the one who scored that one a year or two ago, popped up on ebay in a lot of other mag parts and an old lcd angel. Bought it within seconds on it getting listed, ended up selling it to Roman on facebook, I don't know how he is now (seems to have gone dark on facebook for awhile) Ended up getting 400 for the marker plus a z frame in partial trade cause I always wanted one, but couldn't justify the price at the time

GFX0001234, that’s right! Seems like there were a number of little details about that marker that were special on their own merit. That valve, it seems like the grips were custom made for you by PTP, I don’t remember all the details any more, but it had some Easter eggs to be found.

Grips were custom made by me. Wish I could have found a matched sight, but Forrest said they just had the guns and air accessories done.

Are those lightning micromags anodized or is this some sort of paint job?

It's paint, which is a bummer because it's pretty delicate.

When I asked Forrest, he said that they had been airbrushed, and then the parts were clear powder-coated. I played with my lightning micros several times without any issue. I would expect that it would be only slightly less durable than regular anodizing. When I had my custom MM2K made, I had it translucent powder-coated (essentially the same thing, but tinted) and I ran it hard for a couple years and sold it looking just as good as when I bought it.

If anyone is interested in the whereabouts, I parted the frame, valve, and rpg foregrip and SD the matching parts to someone local to me, they in turn ended up selling it to Roman in SoCal and he built it back up with I belive ptp parts

Thanks for posting the photos. Those six (and a lightning anno'd Viking) are some of the very few markers I have wanted and could never purchase.

It's the great irony of life to have the disposable income to be able to play every weekend if I wanted, but not the time to play in the last 6-7 years.

I have all the photos of the factory PTP anno types still saved if we want to throw up a sticky somewhere.
