These are my two Automags. The X Valve gun got an update over 2019-21 which is everything down from the ULE body that I got in 2006 based on the Hybrid sticker haha. The power feed Mag is how I got the gun in 2001 except for the chrome intelliframe below. I built it back up after I did the lower update on the other gun. I'm also happy I saved all of the old school packaging. I remember opening that intelliframe and Level 10 on Christmas in 2002 haha. Plus my original ReTro valve and packaging. I love my Matrices but Mags will always be my favorite.
My 20+ year love affair with the Automag

I take that as a compliment haha. Life got busy fast after tunaball. Married, two kids, all the jazz. I will definitely bug you if I'm in a jam, I love hearing the tech of these guns first hand.
Also when did the gold spring become the spring for the level 10? I always thought it was the red one from back in the day -
The gold spring is for general tuning is you need to stay low on the chrono. The red will be softer on paint and the chrono range will be around 275-300. The red spring works the best with most paint. i dont even use the long grey spring anymore as it is too finicky to keep tuned and the red seems to do the trick always.

Mags are hands down my favorite. I have one in particular that goes to the grave with me. All my others have a price tag, but not this one.Comment

I’ve got my first mag in the mail on the way to me! They were always the ones I ogled the most back in the day.👍 1Comment

These threads make wonder what happened to my first mag. I always think how the parts have been assimilated into my current inventory. Then I realize the valve was traded to the factory for an x-valve.
Sometimes I remember that mag wasn't even my first. I had a level 5 for about six months before it got sent back to the factory for the free level seven upgrade. I think the rail and frame were the same.
I'm a factory trained (habituated) auto-maggot!😂 1Comment

Just realized I'm restarted and didn't post the pic with the trigger frames in it. I'll have to put that Benchmark on the power feed setup to have it fully back to 2001-ish.
Might as well post it here, I've been looking for an X Valve that has the old style writing on it like the ReTro valve to add to my collection for a while. If anyone knows of any in good shape just point me in a direction hahaWTB Gen-E, Dye DM3 partsComment
