Aka vlm spyder. Looking for info, price

Good morning. I have an old aka vlm spyder that my father purchase probably 25 years ago. Looking for a little more info, I believe he said it was a team gun, 1 of 12 or so. Can anybody identify and enlighten me, possibly a value of it as well?

It’s nice to see cougar and tuna still around. I’m pretty sure we sold you guys one of our last euro mags back in the 2000’s

That’s pretty, I’ve gotten a few FBM Spyders but not an AKA. If you’re intending to sell I’d certainly be a potential buyer.

I have zero clue on value.
and it would be tough for me to sell, would probably keep it in my safe for sentimental reasons, first marker I ever owned from my dad. Just not sure

Please keep this one! The story being tied to your dad is value enough!

I do remember your father's gun from years ago ( pbnation, syderea) unfortunately I can't recall his Screenname. I likely tried to buy it once or twice when I was collecting those. Tried to buy everyone I could at that time.

I have the old emails about the team guns. I can dig out the info.

Team was E'ville Knights, local to aka's location

There were only 4 team guns
          • red teardrop w/site rail, narrow slot (I know where it is)
          • teal teardrop no site rail stepped slot (I still own this)
          • purple/black fade swirl, unfortunately damaged by finish removed and replace with cerakote ( location unknown)
          • Gloss Black, can't recall the milling (location unknown). I know I've seen and have pictures Aaron of AKA had kept it. Frame was lost. He sold it several years ago.

I dont think that was one of the team guns.
          • I can account for atleast at one point knowing where all the team guns were located. And that was after knowing of your fathers.
          • Color is wrong
          • centerflag hyperframes.
          • Chrome AKA rear cocking. (AKA would never have used a cocker Beavertail part)
          • Lpc would have been a aka lpc.
          • Everything is match anodized. The team guns were not. Everything except the bodies were off the shelf parts in original finish.
Remember they were a AKA sponsored. The only part non aka was the frame. And I think that was a sponsored part as well.

a total of around 30 bodies were made in various milling and finishes.

That is a very nice gun with some very nice parts. I would

Valuation is tough on these. As they typically do NOT sell publicly.

I would put it somewhere between 700-1k but let's see what GanonsGrin scottieb say as well

With your sentimental value and the fact you will not get another I would just keep it and enjoy it.

Be careful with the wiring in the frame. Shitty at beat is how i would describe the wire used in a booyaah frame. Never should have used solid core wire for battery connection.

I’m pretty sure he had it anodized. The frame I have no clue about, way too long ago.. thanks for the info cougar!

OP, this VLM is known as CJ's. I am very interested in it and have PM'd.

If you need the backstory on this and on AKA VLM's let me know.

Man, the offers start flying when fun guns come up. I would LOVE to see him keep this on his wall as a memento of his dad’s collection. If he was a VLM owner then he was obviously a serious spyder owner as well! I love seeing those pop up, and I do recall this one popping up a couple of times over the years.

The more I look at this one, I’m going to back my valuation back to somewhere between $500-800. The parts on this one, minus the body, are fairly common. Doesn’t change the fairy of cool factor at all. Again though, as much as I would like to see these in the collectors hands, for this one I feel like it has more meaning to YOU than to someone who would hang it on a wall and not have a personal connection to it.

keep it, is what I have to say about it!

valuation above would be correct though, $700-1000 easy. Again though, as much as I would like to see these in the collectors hands, for this one I feel like it has more meaning to YOU than to someone who would hang it on a wall and not have a personal connection to it.

More than likely what I’m going to do, I’m getting back in the sport recreationally, no more tournaments like I used too, so I’ll keep it as a backup until I pick something else up. Thank you!

Honestly with the mech revolution going on I would just make it your main shooter.
