I've got an AKA 2L regulator that keeps blowing the Piston off upon air up. This happens with a PE Pops ASA which when engaged give the reg full tank pressure instantly. I'm wondering if there is an issue with the regulator or if it doesn't play nice with the POPS?
I've got an update on this. The regulator has the high pressure spring installed by the way.
I've found that tank output seems to be the culprit. With a 600psi output tank regulator this isn't an issue. With a 800psi it blows the piston o-ring off.
I'm considering trying a 90D urethane piston o-ring to see if that will help.
For now I'll run my lower output tank regulator.
Chuck E Ducky Not visibly. Although it does definitely take some effort to push the piston back in. I'm thinking the oring might be catching that lip and tearing. I've since replaced it with a new oring that is one size smaller and 90d. That replacement oring is currently holding so time will tell if it does the trick.
ChuckLove I think I put in a colored one, i know a lot of people loathe them, but i dont have the same issues with them like most do.. either that or it was some kind of a urethane one i had handy.. i order a lot of various o-rings from the oring store
