if the mag is stuck its because the chain is out of synch with the mechanism,
Any chance you dryfired the gun or inserted it without aligning the chain?
be as gentle as you can.
unfortunately its likely some of the posts holding the roller might snap 😒
Sometime taking the side plate off and the ram assembly with the grabber arm can help.Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

Is the magazine stuck because the chain and cog are binding or could the magazine release be stuck? Sometime that magazine release switch switch is a bit stubborn. The magazine drop just by gravity, no springs.Comment

well, im not sure what im supposed to find but the chain can still move despite being in the receiver, removing the side plate did let me move the chain, the mag drop slider was removed to sttempt to inspect it however the internal linkage has fallen away and I dont see an immediate way to reconnect it.
so
how screwed am I?
fwiw the mag still appears as locked in, it will move front back and side to side some but theres been no further change.

well its not the mag detach lever in any form. I tried on another ATS using a thin cut down card to slip up the mag well and unlock the catch and it worked, I marked the depth of that and tried it on the receiver with the stuck mag, not only did i hit the depth I could see the card through the port where the mag release catch was at. so the issue is something else.
