is there supposed to be a tool or end piece on the end of the velocity adjuster, not the same as a phantom but in the idea that theres a cap that interfaces with the bolt?

It's a nelson, spring and shim 👍
There is a tool a lot like the phantom to reach in there and adjust the velocity but it tend to tear the bolt face off ...
What gun are trying to adjust?Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

is it a CO2 convert or a factory HPA?
Als you can take the bolt out and screw the face in for testing, if its still low you might have to swap the spring.
Edit:
i have the model on the first post: Project rATS 2.0

The bolt-face is a 4-section Venturi. I think most if not all Nelson based bolts velocity adjustment are down the bolt-head. That being said, I have made a makeshift one on the field, during the event with a disposable Bic type ball-point pen body. I cut gaps down the sides to allow the body of the pen to slip between the Venturi fins, and managed to jam the old velocity adjustment tool rod into the the pen body with elbow grease, tape and various other creative materials. This worked for the time. I assume it would not do much damage as long as you are gentle. I think you could also use a 3D printer to print a new positive to fit the old rod.Comment
