Paint Not Clearing the Barrel- Karnivor

I took my Karnivor out this weekend and it shot amazing up until the last 30 minutes or so of the day, at which point I couldn't get it to actually shoot & paint was just sticking in the barrel. I up-sized my barrel, swapped in a fresh battery and had the same result. Tank is a Ninja Pro V2 at about 450 psi and I put somewhere between 1 and 1.5 cases through it over the day. Is this just a matter of the LPR needing tweaking or something else altogether? Marker was rebuilt a few months ago by o_nothing via Custom Cockers forum.

    Cheers! 🍻

Was it actually firing or just cycling? Wondering if maybe the hammer lug worked its way up.

Realistically the tickler lprs are supposed to be set every time the hpr is adjusted. So if your chronoing through the reg that is something to watch for.

Paint was sticking in the barrel? Like whole paintballs or broken paint?

If it’s whole paintballs just jamming in the barrel, then you or someone else might have flipped the bolt upside down. A common mistake and/or prank with autocockers.

        I’ve done it myself before!

It didn't feel like it was getting a full fire. The bolt cycled and paint sometimes shot but not consistently. If I cleaned out the barrel I could get a couple shots out and then it would start to jam up in the barrel again. It seemed like there just wasn't enough oomph to send paint down-range.

I will say the temperature had a 20+ degree change from about 11am to 4pm, don't know if that affected anything at all; but as mentioned, it was great up until the last little bit.

It was whole paintballs. That is why I upsized the barrel. If someone did flip the bolt they were pretty quick about it. I had the marker with me most of the day, and I'm fairly certain it was in correctly when I started cleaning it up once I got home, although memory is a little fuzzy by that point in the day.

The paint may have swollen through out the day and by the end of the day the velocity/lpr pressure could have been less than desired.

Good call. I didn't check the chrono. By the time it was having issues we were just doing some snap shooting & 1v1's. Although it worked in one match and then didn't work the next match...

Your reg could be creeping, putting more pressure on the valve face, in turn lowering velocity.

I'm willing to bet money that the hammer isn't being released. Power it on, cock it and try shooting without air. If the hammer doesn't release, there are 3 possibilities: #1 the lug moved, which seems unlikely, usually it would move the other way; #2 the clapper noid has gone bad; #3 the capacitor on the board has gone bad.

How can I check if the hammer releases? edit: i can feel a solid thunk when pulling the trigger as it cycles with no air. I presume that is the hammer moving. (it has been ages since I've gotten into the guts of a 'cocker)

No idea on the clapper being bad- could be a thing.

The board is a Sci-Fi board, so it is pretty new and shouldn't be an issue unless electronics are just being finicky.

If it is the clapper- is that serviceable part or would I need to try and find a replacement?
