    Homemade parts

Anyone else making their own parts? Only done bolts and a beaver tail. Also added a gauge port on the stock regulator

Looks great! I’ve only made some delrin parts for my spump and a plate to plug the vasa holes and route a cocking solenoid cable. Though I had plans to buy a mini mill and lathe so I can attempt to make parts.

The gun is currently disassembled, this is the best photo I have of the part installed.

Thanks... I’m definitely not a machinist. I had a 7x14 for many years, just didn’t have space. Still a priceless tool at any size. Some nice 9x20 ish size out there too. Last year I picked up a 14x40 and she’s mint 🥰

Bolt pin... still a little chunky but haven’t decided how to finish it. And for materials the bolt is nylatron and aluminum, plus the spring. The pin is nylatron and ss.

F-in' rad making yer own stuff.😎

I'm just a troglodyte with some wrenches and a valve tool, so I can only dream...

Same here, just with added files, saws and sandpaper.

I got my Dremel and a MAPP torch; I'm an air/gunsmith.

Matching cocking rod end for this evening.... the pump rod hole was looking a little dirty so it got a plug in the back. Just using cheap black engine paint for now. When it’s done-ish I’ll get it properly done. I’d like to mill the body a little but should probably get a donor to chop

Have another from a few days ago. When I went to install the inception 3way the timing rod was only catching by maybe 1 thread... so had to make a new one.
does anyone own a 5-40 die? I have most of 3 sets and none came with 5-40.
used 1/8 ss tig wire... threaded about an inch.... measured about 20 times..... cut, bend, measure, cut....
was a real pain in the ass and this is one that’s actually worth buying.
              one pic show threading
other is testing the threads on an old 3 way before bending and cutting
then final on the 2k with inception 3way
              picture order is mixed up

I attempted a venturi bolt last week and wasn’t happy with it. Not enough flow I think 🤔. So went at it again but as a tip for for the multi piece

Here’s round 2..... was looking pretty good but I wanted to make the intake hole oval like the inception bolt and the tool hooked up and gave me an egg

                            Nice!

Why bother with the venturi in the sleeve when the insert pressed into it already fills that role?
